Torah Minute by Rabbi Bakshi: The Legacy of Education

In this week’s Torah portion, Vayeira, Hashem reveals His plan to Avraham before destroying Sedom. Why? The Torah says, “For I know him — that he will instruct his children and his household to follow the way of G-d, doing righteousness and justice.” Of all Avraham’s great accomplishments, Hashem treasures most his dedication to teaching and guiding others. This is the mark of true greatness — caring enough to inspire the next generation and influence others toward goodness. Each of us carries that same sacred responsibility — to lead by example, to teach, and to uplift those around us. In doing so, we earn Hashem’s love and help bring more light into the world.
