Why does the Torah phrase blessing and curse differently? When speaking of blessing, it says “asher tishme’u”—when you listen. But for the curse it says “im lo tishme’u”—if you don’t. Why the change? The message is powerful. Hashem speaks with certainty when it comes to blessing—He knows that deep inside, we want to listen. The negative, on the other hand, is only a possibility, not an expectation. This tells us something profound: our freedom of choice comes with Divine confidence. Hashem believes we will choose life, goodness, and blessing. And when we remember that He believes in us, it gives us the strength to believe in ourselves. #TorahMinute #Parsha #Hashem #Chabad #JewishWoodbridge #RabbiBakshi #Spirituality #Blessings #MeanigfulLife
