Torah Minute by Rabbi Bakshi: The Joy We Share with Hashem
Chag Sameach, my dear friends. As we enter the holiday of Sukkot, the Torah calls it Zman Simchateinu — the time of our rejoicing. But who is “our”? It means both us, the Jewish people, rejoicing together in the sukkah and with the lulav and etrog — and also Hashem rejoicing with us. Our sages teach that Sukkot is a celebration of a beautiful, mutual joy — Yisrael same’ach b’Osav, Hashem same’ach b’ma’asav. After Rosh Hashanah, when we accepted Hashem as King, and Yom Kippur, when He forgave us, now is the time to rejoice — together. I warmly invite you to our sukkah. It’s not only my sukkah — it’s our sukkah. Come, shake the lulav, say a blessing, share a bite, and join in the true joy of Sukkot — where Hashem is happy with you, and you are happy with Hashem. #TorahMinute #Parsha #Hashem #Chabad #JewishWoodbridge #RabbiBakshi #JewishJoy #Sukkot #ZmanSimchateinu
