In this week’s Parashat Toldot, we focus on the life of Yitzchak Avinu. The Torah highlights one activity again and again: Yitzchak digging wells. But Yitzchak did much more in his life—he learned Torah, prayed, and guided others spiritually. So why does the Torah choose to emphasize only the digging of wells? The answer is that digging wells holds a powerful lesson. When you dig, you don’t always reach water on the first try—or even the second. You can try and fail, try again and still see no results. Many people give up at that point, whether in Torah study, prayer, or good deeds. Yitzchak teaches us never to stop digging. Keep trying, keep pushing, keep believing. Eventually, you will reach “living waters”—you will uncover hidden strengths, deep spiritual treasures, and even goodness in others. The well is always there… you just need the persistence to reveal it. #TorahMinute #Parsha #Hashem #Chabad #JewishWoodbridge #RabbiBakshi #Toldot #NeverGiveUp #persistence
