Torah Minute by Rabbi Bakshi: The Sea and the Dry Land
This week’s Parsha tells us that the Jewish people walked on dry land in the middle of the sea after the miracle of Kriyat Yam Suf. Chassidut explains that the sea represents moments when we are deeply connected to Hashem — during Torah study and prayer. The dry land represents everyday life: work, family, and all our physical responsibilities. The Torah is teaching us that a Jew doesn’t live in only one world. We are meant to walk through the sea and onto dry land — to take the inspiration, faith, and values we gain from prayer and learning, and bring them into how we live day to day. True Judaism is not escaping the world, but elevating it — making our ordinary lives a place for holiness. #beshalach #torahminute #jewishwoodbridge #torah #judaism #chabad #chassidus #jewishlife #rabbibakshi #faith #spirituality #sea #land
