Why would why would they force millions of uh Jews to convert if the Jews that were converting they didn't truly believe in what they were doing? I don't know the country code, but you should be calling the Vatican, you know, and asking them who engaged in these horrible crimes against the Jews. How do you explain it? Right? Like you're asking the worst person on the planet cuz I couldn't imagine using violence to try to convince someone to believe my religion. If someone if someone used violence to try to convince you to join your religion, that would be like a big red flag. This is, you understand? Number two is if you have something really great, and thank you for your question. If you have something really wonderful, [snorts] you don't have to use violence in order to get them to believe it. If I say, "Here's $10,000. This is a brick of cash. It's yours." I don't have to put a gun to your head to take the money. I wouldn't need to use a violence in order to get you to do something that you would otherwise not want to do. So you need a threat of violence to get the victim to hand over their money which they ordinarily would not do. I mean whenever you violence is introduced you're trying to get someone to do something that they wouldn't do if there was no threat of violence. So the whole point of using violence means you are advertising this is a undesirable thing and therefore we have to use violence in order to get you to do it. This is so transparent and yet the church did this routinely. Routinely. Now you ask an interesting question. So Jews were frequently forced with a sword on their throat to convert to Christianity. Either accept the cross or accept the sword. And you have to ask the question, if this is such a fantastic religion, why why would you need that? Like I'm going to assume you like chocolate. I would not have to threaten you in violence to eat some delicious truffle chocolate, right? You go, "Put the gun away. I'll h happily eat it." It's kosher, but I'll I'll happily eat it. You are always using violence to get people to do something that they would otherwise not do. To address your other question, this is interesting because in fact, the church didn't know this was a big problem. They knew it was such a problem that Jews got baptized feigning conversion but secretly living as Jews. And that's what the Inquisition was set up for. Most people use the term Inquisition loosely as a form of persecuting Jews and a for way of forcing Jews to be God. But actually it's not. So the Inquisition, the head of the Inquisition and the Jews were expelled from Spain or got baptized was Thomas Tokamada. Who was Hakali a Jew? Go know it. A Jew will be an enemy of the Jewish people which tells you a lot like as a Jew, you know. So don't forget Jews have always been classical enemies of the Jews in every generation, not just today. This is a part of history. So Tokamato who was the head of the Inquisition was Hakali a Jew got baptized. Okay, enough with that. What was the Inquisition there for? The Inquisition was not there. Contrary to what most people believe, their mandate was not to go to Jews like me who don't believe in Christianity and then use uh violence in order to get someone like me to be a Christian. Rather, the Inquisition was set up by the church to find out which Jews who were conversos or who they would call moranos and that was a derogatory term to torture them to get them. So people who they suspected were outwardly living as Christians but secretly living as Jews. So they would then torture them you to get them to confess that they really were Jews. That was the whole point. Now why would they set that up? They set it up because many Jews in fact uh didn't feel like leaving Spain in 1492 or didn't feel like leaving Portugal in 149697 just a a handful of years later. So they stayed. Now, we don't know the numbers. We don't know the numbers of Jews who left Spain in the summer of 1492. We don't know the numbers, but whatever it was, but many Jews stayed behind and some rabbis did. The chief rabbi Seville, although he protested and fought hard to get Fernand Isabella to change their mind, he got baptized. So, these people routinely lived as Christians openly outwardly and secretly lived as Jews. They they are, in other words, the inverse of the Messianic movement. The conversos were outwardly living as Christians but inwardly they were Jews. Secretly living as Jews. What is the messianic movement? What is the Hebrew roots movement? What is it? Outwardly Jewish but inwardly Christian. Exact reverse. So in fact the church was uh keenly aware of the fact that Jews who had for some reason converted to Christianity because he threatened to kill him or and his family if they didn't get baptized. They're keenly aware that many Jews were not sincere. I don't know how they put that together, how they came up with that idea. So that was the point of the Inquisition. But why would I would be so embarrassed, frankly, and I think so would you be part of a religion that uses violence to get you to believe in it? Like I I'm This is the best The faith of Israel is the best thing in the world. It's the yummiest thing in the world. The holiest is pure. It's the original. I don't why would I need violence? There's something you would want. Now, it's true that you have questions that require sober, thoughtful answers, certainly, but violence means I the answers don't work. And this is exactly the case. The answers don't work. I there therefore Calvin, a Protestant, a major Protestant in Geneva, in Switzerland, just decided it was a good idea to burn people's stake for not believing in the doctrine of Trinity. Like, why would you need to do that? Why not just persuade them in the merits of the doctrine of trinity? The answer is that Catholics and Protestants routinely why did cath why did they routinely persecute Anabaptists which they did. Why? Because they didn't have a compelling reason to convince them not to be and to engage in infant baptism as the Catholic Church and Orthodox Church engaged in and many um Protestants engage. That's the answer. Why do you need violence for? You need violence because you're trying to get somebody to do something that they otherwise would never do. So simple. It's so crazy.
