Your Driveway Just Became an Asset

The traffic here, the beeping even in the middle of the summer is you can never you like it, huh? You can never find a spot out here. This is the hardest place to find a spot. Now, they have 24-hour meter cops on payroll to give you a ticket. Okay? So, forget about finding a spot. Therefore, these two guys came out with the most insane invention. Wait for it. Aka, give it to me. >> It's called Reverse. It's a new It's a new app. RV RS is how you spell it. It's a new app that allows people to rent out their driveways hourly. So, you have no commitment. You put your you put your driveway in the app and whenever you're not using your driveway, you put your driveway out to rent and people could come around who's circling for spots, rent your driveway, $10 an hour or so. You don't have to talk to anybody. They come to your driveway, you see the money in your bank account 2 days later. >> That is insane. I'm living in Barago for 30 years since I'm born. Never ever ever be funny. People say that if you're driving a barber, you see a spot, just park there. Even though you don't even though you're not going to that destination, you found a spot. Park there. >> So here you have can have your spot in advance. You know you need to go somewhere. You reserve it before you go there. You know you don't have to circle. Easy, convenient, and >> so this is like an Uber style. You book it on the app. You don't talk to anybody. >> Exactly. We take care of the rest. >> Wow. So let's let's let's give an example over here. Typical person over here has a house on 13th Avenue, right off 13th Avenue on 49th Street. Everybody's going to park here. Nobody's just been getting tickets all day. Everybody's looking for a spot. People sometimes circle an hour just to find a spot over here. He has a nice big driveway actually. Probably could hold three, four, five cars, >> right? >> So, he is not using it all day. How does it work? >> So, right now, this guy, he could probably even park four cars here. You can list your driveway. Four spots available. You can put them however you you set the price. You choose your price. Let's say average $10 a hour. And people who are circling could just pull into your driveway. They they book it in advance and then you get the money in your bank account without lifting a finger. >> That's crazy. Whose genius idea was this? I love the idea. >> So his cousin, his name is Charles Kingsburg. He is the founder of the app. It's actually a funny story how this app came into effect. So he was once going to avart in Flatbush and he was circling block after block after block and he's driving past empty driveways all over and he's like, "What am I doing here? Why am I circling blocks when I could just someone's driving could be up for rent and I would jump into the vart for 30 minutes, rent that driveway for 30 minutes and I have to worry about parking. I'd be in and out. >> That's great. That's insane. I mean, look at these big signs. Warning, legal driveway, active. So, we know when it says active 24 hours mean they don't want to park. Most people on average probably don't use their driveway. Probably half the day they don't use it, right? Either they're at work or they're half that they're sleeping. Most people they come home, they don't take their car out again, they d next door. how simple it is to just put it on the app and make money. This is really when it says make money while you sleep. This is what you're talking about. So, we're standing right here right over 14th Avenue next to the big bubble 45 shul. There are two holes right around the corner. Terrace Golden, the new hall. Okay, there is in a single spot here. Can you imagine guys being able to rent out these drivers right over here? Literally a 45second walk from the hall. You know, you're coming to the wedding traveling from Lakewood. You just sat in the car for an hour. If you're not interested in sitting and looking for a spot, forget about double parking cuz then you'll get slammed with $150 ticket. You ever got a ticket at Mario Park? >> I was by Amno's Pizza on Thursday going around. I went inside for approximately 2 minutes. I was like, "Hey, it's 2 seconds. It can't be that bad. Come outside. $115 ticket." >> No way. >> That's a $65 slice. >> Why you want two slices? >> Two slices. $65 a pop. >> $65 you pay to slice at Ammon's Pizza for that ticket. And the cops will work overtime at night at But whenever you're out, they're out. They know where you are. So, >> so we're standing right here near near two halls. And I know all these people say, "I need my driveway 24 hours a day." Well, there is a reality because people do find parking. It might be hard. You might come home before the traffic rush and find a spot. And you might say, "So tonight, my driveway is now available for 4 hours. I live right. I could charge a nice amount, maybe $10, $15 an hour. I just made $60 over the 4 hour span by listing my driveway cuz I came home before the rush hour traffic of wedding cousin halls. And now my spot is available." That's crazy. So, you can make a legit business out of your driveway, make extra cash, find a normal spot, rent out your driveway, and make money. That is insane. Wow. So, like you said, we're standing right here 14th Avenue 49th Street right in the the two big castles of bara and the kadesh. Wow. Here we have the sham couple stroll. He's a sham 45 right over here. These two guys came out with the craziest app couple. When you come here, many times you cannot find the spot of couple, right? You have to circle and circle and circle. You got to be here every single day. They came out with an app where you could book a driveway and not the driveway dolphin black. He's not using it. He's out on the winter vacation for two months. He's at Florida or he's in the way for the country now for two months. Or tonight he parked early. He doesn't need it. You could go book the parking lot, book the driveway and park there without getting a ticket. Isn't that insane? These two cush people came out with the idea and I think it's a hit. On 14th Avenue itself, there are probably five holes between 55th Street till >> 45th >> 45th. There are probably 10 holes from Dennis Gold on 47th Street. 46th Street, three holes. 14th Avenue itself is probably the most holes after ban has like one area. I don't know 10 castles, but after that park is probably the winner. So I think this is going to be a hit couple and these guys are amazing at coming up with this genius idea. >> A couple the number one shamas in town. There's two sides of the app. There's one for people who are looking to park and there's one for people to to uh rent out their driveway. So, I'll show you first. This is for people to park. You just simple you find a driveway. Shows you how far it is from your destination. 0.1 miles from my destination, right? Okay. You hit continue. You choose your hours. Let's say I want I want 3:30 to 4 or you add, right? You choose an hour and then you hit review booking and then you just simply check out and you have a driveway for an hour, 2 hours, however long you need it. That's insane. So, you could book in advance as well. >> Yeah, you could know if you're going to, you know, at 7 p.m. I'm going to be there. I need my spa. I don't want to think about it. You could book it. It will give you an address. You put that address into your Google Maps into your ways. Drive right there. Pull into the driveway. You don't have to think about anything. >> Oh my goodness. Wow. What a breakthrough. Aa, show me the renters. Um, how does it work on his side? So, simply right in the bottom right corner, you'll hit host view. So, now it switches. Now, I'm now I now I this is my driveway. Okay. Aka driveway. Okay. Okay. And now I I posted this driveway on the app. I would hit view and edit. This is my information, the amenities, this is the times available. There's no commitment. Let's say my driveway is only available for 1 hour a week. Okay? So, you put the driveway up and when the driveway is available, you put it up for that hour. Or if you know I'm I'm out at work for 3 hours a day, for 3 hours a day, you put it available. Or if you're going for the country for the weekend, you put it up up for the weekend so people can rent it over the weekend. It's very simple right here. You choose your times. You choose your days. Right now I personally have it for all day but it's all completely up to you. Zero commitment. >> So it goes day by day. >> So it goes day. So you could choose for one week. You could choose Friday.
