You can help by NOT preaching

when somebody's going through a difficult time in life rather than telling them to have faith it' probably be more effective to tell them to learn Faith because having faith is a skill the Hebrew word for faith amuna comes from the word om which is a craft you have to get good at your craft it takes a lot of practice preaching at somebody to have faith could be insensitive and and not effective but encouraging somebody to learn Faith to experience what faith really is in their own mind on their own level it's going to be a lot more effective
