Yoni Hikind's fiery speach at Assemblyman Hikinds victory party

[Music] first of all Mao ma first not to go f oh ma talk first to our community of [Applause] bar they say in life all the time ah politics in the last 6 months or or whatever amount of time it's been as I've taken an interest in being involved in what I saw as my father's uh election uh coming up I've had an education that would be too difficult to describe uh I'll regular us right now I'm going to need a few weeks to process it all but I've learned so many things one thing I could say off the bat is there's a lot of politics in life but there's also a lot of life in politics and I'll explain to you what I mean the biggest challenge in this campaign was that so many people cared too much people didn't look at this as just politics there are people in this room that it wasn't just well you know he's done he's done a good job he delivers for us he will deliver for us they felt it and they felt it because my father is loved he is loved and today showed how much he is [Applause] loved so if anything the challenge of this campaign was to deal with all the emotion involved amongst the people that were a part of it how much we cared every single day everyone being so scared God forbid we heard one thing people care so much and that means a lot and that is a reflection a lot about of course my father though I can spend the next hour and a half singling out so many people over there some of some of whom I've known for many years and some of whom I've known for a lot less some of whom I've known for just a few months I just want to first point out I everyone we need quiet quiet please who's not going anywhere the first group of people that need to be thanked is the office of assemblyman do [Applause] H they're all just such good people it's unbelievable led by the Chief of Staff Mark croning as I said there are too many people here to than some of which I've gone back I've gone back with for years and those people don't need me to point them out right now because I look at them right now and all I can say is like this cuz they know what I feel for them and what they feel for me but a few months ago I met a few people and we we formed a group and uh anyone here heard of what'sapp by any chance yeah I heard it's a little popular in bar Park is this true I didn't even know what WhatsApp was like up until like a year ago I I formed a group in WhatsApp called wi wi stands for whatever it takes now whatever it takes as in do whatever it takes no matter what but whatever it takes as in we are here and we are going to do to make sure that your father has the victory that he deserves to have when he has an election everyone who is here part of that wrt group all I could say is I love every single one of you so much and I cannot thank you I can never thank you or repay you for how you uplifted me and how you inspired me to get involved and help this process start and again everyone out there knows who they are uh one more person that I have to um well actually two people that I have to point out is um two additions in the last few months to the team that changed some of the culture in in the hiking operation overall and they're new and some of the some of other uh members of of the office have been doing this longer and I'm going to be M on the C but two people specifically need to be think because I love them both one is the [Applause] Li and the other one is who we refer to in the family as the angel sent from Hashem and that is schy simus as I speak there's a part of me that's looking around and saying oh I want to talk about you and I want to talk about you for those of you who know me know the love that I feel for the people that you know I'm talking about I just it's going to become too long of a speech I'd like to introduce one person to say few words after which I will come back on and introduce the reelected assemblymen but there there were a few people when this got started when the campaign got started when we um first saw that we had a campaign for the first time in 32 years basically that I uh we refer to them back in the in the family when we're eating dinner together I called them uh the because they're the ones that that jumped in and I specifically I'm talking about y Rosenfeld Rosenberg and the reason why I called is because let me make it very very clear I don't know enough to offend anybody meaning I don't know enough to know how to say things the right way all I could say is that I know one thing that that my love and my commitment was all about one man that's my father and there was there was there was one person who got up and challenged bur Park and I didn't understand all of it and I said to him after he spoke I said I don't know if I understood everything you said but I got the message and my understanding was was that he stood up in front of burar and he said here's what we're going to do what are you going to do and I think the rest of Park answered that call and again it's very important to me for everyone to understand that it is it is of utmost importance to be and at the end of the day represents the concept of I am jumping in first so as as as much appreciation and as much of C program we have with so many other people and so many other organizations the fact is it takes somebody to stand up and say here what we're doing what are you doing next with that in mind I'd love to call up uh Yoli Rosenfeld who has become a dear friend and um Y where are you here you are thank you y
