[Music] i met rabbi zetunia about 10 years ago i was very impressed with him and the lovey ad for the boys was just exceptional i know rabbi is a tourney for many years i found them then to be young energetic committed thorough loyal idealistic i said to myself wow imagine one day if this young rabbi would harness his energies and open up a yeshiva to our good fortune he opened up ykt [Music] [Applause] [Music] was founded on the premise every person has within him greatness and the job of the ishibot is to take out the greatness in every single student rabbi zatuni's vision was taking a boy who has so much potential it's not been tapped into and really growing them at a really rapid pace so they can achieve a higher result in the long run throughout my 20 years in education many times we've seen that not everybody excels academically and many times boys are down on themselves because they're not succeeding academically all while there are many things that they are good at and i felt that if i was able to take those peripheral things and subjects that these boys could excel at and infuse it into the regular school day then you'll have a happier student a more successful student and actually a better learner the first priority is to give the boys a dairy from torah and it's through developing the talents of each boy in his specific strength that we bring out his love for torah i wanted to teach them a vocation something that they could put in their hands [Music] all my life i want to be a real estate agent so therefore this class the real estate class that i could walk out with my license is amazing it's a great program at this stage of life confidence is very very important we take a boy we look at the whole person if he could succeed in woodworking if that's something that could make him develop and give him a confidence that could spread throughout his whole success then he'll get that and he'll be end up doing well in the morning also we also have a very high level secular studies program in fact we offer so many aps that there's a possibility that outboys could graduate not only with their high school diploma but with their college degree there's there's a need for school like this and i think it's a great thing people come to me all the time about opening different divisions because they see how our boys are flourishing both in confidence skill set nowhere when the school first started rabbi zatuni expected 12 or 13 kids he ended up with over 20 kids close to 30. the following year another 30. and this will be his third year and he has close to 100. the boys are looked at as gold and they feel it and they know it i would say 20 cares for every student the same i love it because there's great learning programs great kids in the school that i love it's a great environment every second you feel loved rabbi also has an ability to focus on the positive of each child the rabbi has a tendency to find the strength in a child and enhance them many times a student comes into my office and he asked me for a favor and i said for you of course i said you're my son for life and that's the way every rebbe feels it is a bond not for four years it's about for eternity rabbi zee is very friendly he doesn't talk to you like you're a teenager he talks to you like you're a real man adult and that's what i like about him feels like a parent to me i have troubles i would speak to him about it and he would help me coming into the school my first year i especially noticed the unity that is between the boys you're talking about boys from all walks of the community and the way they meld together because of the leadership of rebecca toony one of the things that we're very very careful to institute in our yeshiva has a sense of pride and unity by us there is no bullying boys are not made fun of you see that there's a real camaraderie ykt really isn't just a school it's a family when i send my kids to school every morning i'm very confident that they're in the right hands and i know that anything that happens in that building is going to be the right thing for my kids it's different once a school makes you but on tt this school makes you want to put on tt last year i would never wear ct came to school i've been wearing it outside of school our focus is not only to build a boy for four years but we look at every child's future what are we going to do now to plant the seed for this boy to flourish for life i invite anyone to come at any time of the day and be impressed we'd like to invite everybody to be a partner and become a part of our family i think it's an important school to support and i think that it's a school that will be one of the main schools in the community one day lucky are those who invest in these yeshivas when they're getting off the ground these kids i guarantee you will be the shining stars of the future [Music]
