Yeshivas Ahavas Torah - A Place to Grow

to have a place that is accepting, to have a place that looks at you for who you are. That is actually the biggest lifesaver for most of these boys. [music] >> [music] >> the place of warmth, no questions asked, where they can and they do once again reconnect with their Yiddish guides. >> It was uh one of the only welcoming places where people not only want to welcome you in, but try and push you to [music] take a step forward and do something, whether it's governing or helping along in in the yeshiva. This place gave me a place to that I felt welcome to in the community when I felt so ostracized and um excommunicated. I always had a home here. This was my only toes. >> It's not just a place to come and hang out. It's a place of this. [music] So many different people from so many different walks of life can just [music] spend a couple of shabas for an hour, an hour and a half straight singing. here is is a place where I can come with you know I don't have a beckish I don't have a hat I didn't grow up with with a gartle this is my [music] only place that I have in my community that is a safe haven >> I don't [music] need your package the only thing I need is you I don't need [music] your package I don't need your package The one thing that is always the same that hasn't changed with this place is that everybody's welcome. Wherever you are, you are the same here. All at the same level. event. comfortable [music] family [music] to get the confidence confidence. The plots get him the confidence. [music] This place helps you grow in many different ways. It builds you [music] confidence and gives you a purpose in life. >> The connection to this place, I don't think I can I can describe it. It's like like nothing else in the world. I just think this is home. This is home more than anything else in the world. Thursday night [music] we come here we sing for hours and hours and hours on end [snorts] just opens up my heart and connects me so much closer >> being able to come here for this in the middle of the night being able to come here and learn some >> it has definitely saved people's lives over the years there are some people if it wasn't for this place would not be here today >> honestly without a harra I don't know what state I would be in whatever I I have the minimum. We've had struggles ups and down but this place has gone through fire stand and we got continue for many many years.
