I forgot all I would just remember you remember my name is FY alansy I'm in primary and this year I'm learning how to read my name is fansy I'm in PR and this year I'm learning how to read my name is y I am in first grade and this year I started learning clish my name is a t I'm in second grade this year and ding we started saying my name is z freed I'm in third grade this year I'm learning M my name is I'm in fourth grade this year I learned how ToK by myself my name is bar Jacobs I'm in the fifth grade and we started learning gamar my name is Arya fan I'm in sixth grade and this year I'm learning gamar Rashi my name is Danielle pontier I am in seventh grade this year we started learning Rashi t my name is I'm in eighth grade this year we're learning how to make a landing onar Rashi Tyas on our own my name is Raman and this year I'm learn [Music] English [Music] this year we're celebrating our 32nd anniversary yeah 32 is La our reim they are the L of our Yeshiva starting from the primary until 8th grade they give over the M from our fathers and grandfathers all the way back to Hari and primary is an experience of laying the foundation for the life in the future it's the foundation that if they start off the year happy then the rest of their experience in Yesa is going to be a happy one that's our goal here in yes to make the boys want to come to Yesa be excited to come to Yesa every single day and I am able to see that with how the boys run into the classroom every single day I like coming to Y because it's fun I like DAV I like Pasha I like when I come to school I feel happy we try to Institute Yas clas other Yas that are everyday that the kids should know and he went through shabas and with good pictures that that we got to show them exactly what they are and many of the told us that the kids have to know I noticed that the kids do know a lot of the things at home which thanks to the parents and their it was very good to go over all the to show how they're so pertinent every shabas the and really enjoyed it they saw it the examples in front of them and they were very involved all teaches us the T of ding we look at the words and we see the sh we have a whole wall full of shim then we figure out the TA then we say the T from the word we learned about the Maca so for de um Dr Su CU s is a horse we did a a Lev We buried a horse's head and we put it in the forest we roasted marshmallows for for B I wants to make the learning come alive [Music] when a boy starts learning gamarra in the fifth grade he's not just learning a new subject we go over the words individually with cards and we show the boy the word and it becomes like a site word since we have the garabi it makes the learning more enjoyable and a lot easier cuz we have the words in our head and lots of times have boys I meet them in the hallway I'll ask them words from previous years you know that are in sixth seventh eighth grade they'll like right away say over the word by itself with the niggan they'll remember how they memorized it in fifth grade if a boy enjoys reading and tiing gamar in fifth grade the whole subject of gamarra is something that he enjoys for the rest of his life and this is what we work on a holy year that a boy should come away enjoying gamar gamar is a gaka subject and it's a very gaka liud and they know the words and they end up with a vocabulary of between 3 400 gumar words at the end of the year I'm RAB Gil our 8th grade rebi I had this uh thing in mind to start this program of doing Shaka Vitara that the boys should really have a idea and feel a Kenyan and really own and know what they're learning it gives the B the opportunity to really get the suia clear cuz they have to say over the Shakara B before the Shak of ataya program I didn't really know the gamara as well as I did now because when I did the Shak of Atara I went over every single thing outside the gamar straight down and then when I came to my fa I was able to to scroll down the gamar and and he would I would answer very easily just straight out like that because I knew at the back of my head their enthusiasm their incredible excitement the anticipation that they have in waiting to be tested on the OM at which they're learning and the ensuing satisfaction the sense of Good Feeling which they have by realizing that they actually mastered the blot which they have been learning in class you walk in the hallway you see boys saying over the armor to each other before they're doing it watching them coming out of RAB C's office after they successfully set over the Shak of vutara with the smile on their faces you see that sense of accomplishment that they don't really get in any other area of I know the gamarra I could say it over I understand it and that gives them a gmak and learning success brings success and through the Shak of attire through being able to say it over and seeing that they really understand it that gives them the Gish to continue and and and to want to get it even better and to want to get more and by the way my favorite Coco C to give out is for those boys who come to me with a note from Rabbi Cutler or Rabbi garle or the rabbi that they just completed an Ahmed [Music] Shakara it's been a privilege to be part of the staff here at ytt for past 17 years educating the children in subjects as science and math getting child's curiosity lit and then sating with facts experiments projects clearly is the way to go in our classroom we've fired bullets we've launched Rockets very Hands-On very instructive and also feeding their curiosity the kids are curious and that's probably the biggest asset I have to being a teacher their interest in the subject matter we have used the past year to reinvigorate our already successful English as well well we have spent thousands of dollars of professional development money to work the bottom up to revamp our system totally reading in primary first grade and we have also introduced some co-curricular subjects to help better prepare our boys for today's society we have introduced a money course in sixth grade Where The Boys learn how a checking account Works how credit cards work what it means to pay a mortgage how to actually crunch the numbers interest rates in eth grade besides for regular math that they're doing they have learned how the stock market works and all the calculations that go into figuring out what it means to have a portfolio what it means to invest your money wisely I actually never knew what stock stocks were before I actually came to eighth grade but when I came to eighth grade R carp showed me exactly how to do it I'm already doing very well my new Stacks I bought it's a pleasure to work with rabie gwax and Rabbi Feldman because they they share the same goals and together we're able to work as a team to help the boys grow to become the best that they could become all the tell us that our boys know their the Paras because every year we over and they get tested it's the delay of oura that gives the that they want to come to Yesa and that's the elementary school the boys are smiling they're happy and they're [Music] learning and never [Music] again and never again know [Music] you
