I'm here with a father Mel Alasi and this is the son Adam Adam Elasi and they are the familyowned business of Oda Mountain Winery. I've drank Oda Mountain Winery for years but I never knew this story and this is a beautiful story. So it's not only wine Wednesday wisdom this week it's wine Wednesday inspiration. [Music] 23 years ago, nothing with wine at all. The father being an young 47 year old thought had a dream of going bringing in his family together. And the way he explained it is so beautiful. explained to me that he he wanted to go into a business that had everything, not only farming, not only marketing, not only high-tech, not only drinking, and that's why he went into the wine business. I'll let your son or you uh tell this story. The wine speaks for itself. Thank you. So back at 2003, we decided together to build a winery after my father offered to us to join him and make a family business. That was the idea to do something together as a family and it was important for all of us that that something will be very interesting involved walk with hands and with mind together and as you said in wine making you have it all. You have agriculture, you have industry, you have sales, everything. You have you meet with people. Free wine. And you have free wine. Most important, you have free wine. But your father had a mustache before or after the mustache is his trademark since since you remember. No. When I only serious touch. So you were born. I don't you never took off the mustache. So this So you should have a wine label with a mustache. You're right. How how how deep is the elevation? Of the mustache. Yeah. What is behind Oda Mountain? What is it different from all the other wineries? If you have to stay like in one minute. We like to make special wine. It's mean it's need to be family one tourism family and the best quality that we can make in our area because we get from the god special vineyard and special condition to make the grape wine. So that so to close it off, what do you want to tell people about the winery that it's something unique that people should understand and want to try it? So our wines, we try to make them loyal to the place that they were grown. So the golden heights at the highest peak of the golden heights and the volcanic soil all reflected in our wine that's what build the wine make the balance between the acid and the taste in ro. So you're not here to copy Italian wines or French wines or Spanish wines. You want to do your own thing. Yeah. We want a new inter building our identity for this uh beautiful guys. OD mountain is a wine that you want to try. You might love it, you might like it, but it's definitely something unique. This wine for example as big as it is but it doesn't have the sweetness from a lot of oversweet big wines from around your region. So I think that was beautiful. The Merllo for a single varietal was beautiful and they have a nabiola which is very unique for Israel to have your nabiola grape.
