in life things like relationships things like how children turn out things like different events and experiences where life takes us various situations that occur to us emotionally internally externally in our own lives or in our loved ones we want control and it's great to have control but very often in that need for control I lose touch with the moment's call with the energy that is being created right now at this moment that invites me into a relationship with what is needed right now and very often control becomes just another word for deep deep fear and deep insecurity and sometimes a very deep and profound ego which comes from Deep insecurity where I simply cannot let go let go of my expectations let go of my vision of how I see reality having to unfold let go of my definition of what is the right thing for my life and then what happens is I'm in a continuous conflict with reality and when I'm in continuous angular reality I either become very resentful judgmental even angry and vengeful or it's too painful so I may Retreat and detach a little bit and I sometimes just go into my own world or go into the clouds I hover over life I can't be present in life because there's too many disappointments it's expressed in so many different ways depends on a person's coping mechanism but I live in the world of coping mechanisms rather in a world of expansiveness and embracing reality is talking about the says that a person opens themselves up to say that as much control I want to have to be able to figure out my day and figure out my life Etc what you took of in what happened at that was that he said ultimately I'm completely fine not to be in control I'm completely fine to be present in whatever reality Hashem is bringing into my life now paralyzing Force you see control seems very good you're in control but really control has another dimension to it and that is there's a loneliness there imagine the person closest to you in your life says you know what you're in charge of your life I have nothing to do with it I'm completely disconnected from it that control we don't want that's a control where you're detached you're alone I throw a person over the cliff and I say here you're in control on the contrary I feel like I lost my bearings so when you really tell a person you're completely under your own control without any attachment everything somebody disagrees with me I go crazy I can't deal with otherness because I'm always protecting and whenever you're always protecting yourself it's very very hard to deal with somebody who has a different opinion who has different emotions who has different experience to be in a real relationship you have to be secure you have to be confident you have to be able to listen you have to be able to open yourself up to something else but if not if from day one maybe when I was a young child I was afraid that if I'm exposed if I'm vulnerable somebody's going to put a dagger in my chest hospital I'm never going to allow that and giving up control is vulnerability I can't be vulnerable sorry I need to control my house I need to control my family I need to control the Hassan I need to place of fear what if I could be curious curious what am I feeling now what just happened inside of me and suddenly you'll realize I'll realize that I'm stuck I have a certain version of reality a certain version of who my spouse is of who my child is of who I am of who life is and I can't get out of that and now when I'm seeing something that shocks me when I'm seeing something that's taking away my control I create a new story that keeps me still stuck and angry but you took says maybe all your plans were just limited plans and maybe the Republic is opening you up to a whole different perspective maybe this is an opportunity for emancipation maybe there's an opportunity for letting go maybe an opportunity for learning new things about your children new things about your family new things about your spouse maybe this is really really an opportunity to be able to be curious and see what is the opportunity here for growth for deeper relationships for deeper attachment this is a
