So, here we are.
The light rail
has a stop called
Sha'ar Shechem.
And the announcements actually haven't
been working on the train. Don't know
why.
It's near the Damascus Gate,
which you might be able to see in a
moment.
It's sort of down there.
And we're outside, and we can see the
old city.
See the walls of the old city. Now, when
they were building this 20 years ago,
somebody said, somebody who never used
the train said, "You know what?
I think it'd be very nice if people
could every day
see the walls of the old city as they
traveled here."
And they decided to put the cars in a
tunnel
and the train on the street instead of
reverse.
And I think if you ask anybody who
travels here,
they would much rather
go quickly in and out of Jerusalem, get
to where they need to go,
and while the walls are pretty, they can
always get out of the train, and they
can look at the walls.
But after, you know, every day, a person
it doesn't have the same effect. Plus,
it's also just the walls. It's not a
religious thing to see. It's just an old
wall
uh
made a few thousand years ago or
something like that.
It's not biblical.
So,
there we have it. We're outside, and we
sometimes get stuck in traffic, and we
sometimes get stuck in the traffic
lights.
