So, somebody asked me, why do sensitive
souls hate hints? Now, what are
sensitive souls? That's a term that I've
been using. You may use other terms.
Some of the terms that some people use
are diagnostic terms, which I avoid
using. The term that I use, which is a
more spiritual term because I'm a rabbi
and so I relate to that more and I also
think it's actually more accurate is
sensitive souls which means for me
souls that came into this world into
this embodiment and never really felt
settled
and you know actually makes perfect
sense. soul is boundless light and now
all of a sudden it's embodied which
means it's trapped in this very uh
finite container and not only is it
confined but like its senses it are
completely bombarded with all the
physical stimuli and so it's
uncomfortable and it's sort of
overwhelmed and these are the people who
go through life sort of like in this
sense of existential
discomfort okay and that's what we call
the sensitive souls Now, um, someone was
asking me, "Why does it seem like a lot
of these people who resonate with this
personality profile don't do well with
hints?"
Like they they say, "Say say it to me
straight. Just say it to me straight."
And conversely, they say things to
people straight and then they get
accused often of being rude or um
lacking subtlety. Okay. But why do they
like to say things really on the nose
and they like things to be said to them
really really on the nose? Um it's all
about truth. Truth is a very very
important concept for sensitive souls.
This world, the world of embodiment, the
physical plane is a world of falsehood.
And what do I mean? It's a world world
of falsehood. A world where people tell
lies. Yeah, that too. But primarily the
world itself is a lie. [gasps]
Um it's a lie
that anything could exist
separate from God.
The embodiment plane, the physical world
looks autonomous.
It looks like it's there, a creation
without a creator, which is a lie. And
that's why it was engineered that way by
its maker um to allow for free choice so
that we're not overwhelmed by God's
presence. Also, uh if God were
completely revealed, then uh like God
told Moses when he said, "Can I see your
face?" face. He said, "No man can see my
face and live." We would be overwhelmed
out of existence. If we were exposed to
unfiltered godliness,
we would cease to exist. We just become
absorbed or subsumed in the totality of
his absolute oneness and we would cease
to have a subjective experience. So it
would be impossible to experience that.
You would just become one with it. But
at any rate, so this world,
interestingly, by the way, the the word
in Hebrew for world
is the same etmological root, the three
Hebrew letters in, lam and mem for
haleem.
Means world. Halem means concealment.
The word for world is concealment. Why?
Because
the world or each world there are
different planes of existence
functions to mask the creator so that we
see creation and not creator. That is
the function of a world and especially
the physical world which is the greatest
level of concealment. So that's a real
world of falsehood which yes it also
means people can lie because you can't
see the truth. So people can tell you
whatever they want to tell you, but the
world itself lends itself to a lie. The
the lie that it exists on its own. Okay.
Now, sensitive souls come to the
physical world and are disturbed by I
mean they're disturbed by a lot of
things that have that are inherent to
physicality, but they're they're also
disturbed by this falseeness.
[sighs]
They want truth. [gasps]
This is similar to, and we can make a
separate video about this, why these
sensitive souls like um well, sometimes
they're accused of being perfectionists.
They're idealists. Why? Because they are
more comfortable in the world of truth,
which is a world of ideals or
archetypes. So, they see things as they
should be or could be. And then they
come to the physical realm where things
never really live up to the ideal
physical world. Everything's sort of
like, you know, the world's an imperfect
place. The things are, you know, broken
and
well, for for a sensitive soul, that's
really unnerving. So, you know,
perfectionism, idealism, th those all go
along with the personality profile. But
let's talk about the the thing about
hints. Okay,
if you're not a sensitive soul, this is
going to sound absolutely wacko. And I
acknowledge that. And that's why I
wouldn't just walk up to someone on the
street and say this. Even though I like
saying things bluntly, but I wouldn't
say this bluntly cuz people would think
it's weird. There's no point in being
weird uh just to be weird. Hints are
lies. It's a lie by omission. Everyone
knows what a lie by omission is.
Everyone knows that a lie by omission
can be as serious as an an a a a
deliberate uh statement of
mistruth.
Well,
to a sensitive soul, a hint is a subtle
form of lie but by omission. Cuz if you
mean it, just say it. And if you're
dancing around it, you're hovering over
it, near it, and you're not saying it.
Why not? What are you trying to do?
Well, I'm trying to be, you know,
polite. Okay. Yeah, that's the word
you're using. Polite is the polite word
you're using for you're saying polite in
order to be polite. But
what does polite mean? Polite means
you're not telling me the real version
of it. What? You're afraid I'll be mad?
You're afraid I'll say no. [gasps]
Tell me what it is, we'll deal with it.
So for the sensitive soul, communication
is all about tell me the fullest form of
this truth. Don't worry about me. Come
out and just say it to me the way you
see it. Okay? I'll react how I'm gonna
react. But don't
cover it in so many layers of nicity
that I don't even know what I'm looking
at. It's like you put enough frosting on
a on a on a wrench and I could think
it's a I could think it's a a donut. But
[laughter] that's called that's called
uh fooling people. That's called uh you
know purposely misleading them. Well, I
just didn't want you to not want the
wrench. No. So, you wash it off. Hand me
the wrench. If I want a wrench, I'll
take a wrench. If I want a donut, I'll
take a donut. But don't put frosting on
a wrench so that I think it's a donut. I
just came up with that metaphor off the
top of my head. It's probably
ridiculous. It is ridiculous. But at any
rate, it conveys a feeling. And if
you're a sensitive soul and you would
like words or even just you don't want
to use these words cuz you don't want
more people to think you're weird but
you just want to hear my words so that
you feel a little bit less alone. You're
like yeah I I uh I've had that
experience. So then I'm I'm giving words
to it. And if you're not a sensitive
soul but you'd like to understand such
people maybe you're married to such a
person maybe you have a child to such a
person. So yeah, I'm letting you know
that euphemism
and saying things obliquely
or like saying maybe probably um I think
uh when you those extra filler words are
very unnerving if you say like you know
I think I'm going to go. You think
you're going to go or you gonna go? If
you're going to go just tell me you're
going to go or you know that probably is
not a good idea. Is it not a good idea
or it's probably not a good idea?
Because the word probably has a real
meaning. It means like a statistic
probability like
so yeah let's just understand this and
you can do whatever you want. You don't
have to speak bluntly. If if that harsh
is your mellow and you don't want to
speak bluntly don't speak bluntly. But
um
the people who are sensitive souls tend
to prefer it. And you're going to say
but they're sensitive souls. They they I
I'm trying to be careful around them.
Okay, great. There's things you can be
careful about. Um, one of the things to
be careful about is not to be confusing,
not to be not to send mixed messages.
Um,
not to
use language that doesn't have real
meaning
cuz that's actually hurtful.
Not speaking clearly. Speaking clearly
is not hurtful.
Yeah. Okay. So, I hope you get my point.
Speak clearly.
