Why Kids Need Safe Spaces to Talk About Puberty
866 views

the years of puberty. Why should any
child go through the fundamental changes
in their body and be confused? Why
should they not be aware that what's
happening to them is perfectly normal?
I've given many parent presentations on
this about the conversations that I was
then going to have with their children
ahead of time. And countless fathers
have come over to me and told me if only
20 and 30 years ago someone would have
told me about this and I wouldn't have
to suffer in silence with the confusion
of is this okay? Things haven't happened
yet. things are happening. Is there
something wrong with me? And there's no
address to turn to. And that's the
beauty of having the teacher in the
classroom that could be a rebi. It could
be a mash. It could be a guidance
counselor. But now the children are
exposed to them in in a whole new way
already broaching a lot of these topics.
And there's an address for them to go to
with any additional questions they might
have, which is a supplementary huge
benefit to having such a curriculum in a
school.
