How is it that you're a rabbi and you
make lives on TikTok?
What's the What's the problem with doing
a live on TikTok if my whole goal is to
help people just like yourself
listen to the words of the Torah
get inspired by it, apply it to your
life, become a better person, become a
better servant of Hashem, observe
Shabbat, become moral, stay away from
immorality, do business in an honest
way.
In so many words
whether you're watching this on TikTok
or you're watching this on YouTube or
you're watching it on Facebook, all of
which are right now live
uh or you're watching it anywhere else
this is going to be later on
uh
that's our goal. Our goal is to get to
people everywhere and anywhere we
possibly can.
And especially
in place like this in social media where
now a person that's watching me
and is learning Torah
they're doing that
instead of watching nonsense. Meaning
they were already on the app. They were
already on TikTok or YouTube or Facebook
or whatever it is that they're watching
me on.
But if they weren't watching me, they
were watching something else and usually
that something else is not a good thing.
So certainly
our goal is to spread the Torah, spread
the truth in every single possible way
that we can and everywhere that we can
and
we've had a lot of success in helping
people
get closer to Hashem, do complete
teshuvah
in different ways, whether it's through
TikTok or YouTube or Facebook on our
Roku television channels that we have.
On WhatsApp and about TikTok X,
whatever, all these different social
medias we have we have people that have
watched us from all over the world and
as I've told people many times
we have people watching our lectures in
six out of the seven continents
that I know for sure. How do I know for
sure that there's six out of the seven
continents? Because we have people that
donate from there
from you know, each one of these
continents. The only one we don't have
is Antarctica which maybe one day will
come when they figure out a way of how
to deal with the weather over there.
It's not that nice weather over there so
much.
>> [laughter]
>> Uh but
uh
uh until then we have people from all
over the world. We have people from the
United States, from Africa, from South
America, from Canada, from
Indonesia, Australia, we have literally
from all over the world. People that are
watching our lectures and especially now
that we have our lectures translated to
you know, 15 different languages. So we
have people listening to my lectures in
French, in German, in Spanish, in
Portuguese, Chinese, Korean uh we have
in many different languages. So it's not
just people that are listening to the
live that get affected by it, but also
people that are listening to it when
it's translated to all these different
languages all over the world.
So our goal is to share the truth of the
Torah in every possible way in every
possible
place.
Because this is what's going to help
people.
This is what's going to help people and
we've
seen it and as I shall continue.
Another thing to say about that by the
way
Oh, here's a person from Gambia is
watching us right now. And a person from
Israel is watching us right now. Both of
them.
Another thing to say that is that our
sages teach us
that everything that Hashem
created in the world, he created it for
us to use it in order to honor him.
Which means that Hashem allowed people
to bring the internet and social media
and technology into the world
not just for them to make money, not
just for them to share nonsensical
videos of
you know, of ducks crossing the road or
of people eating in strange ways or
beating each other up.
The reason why Hashem allowed all of
this to come to the world is because
this is going to be a way for
his servants to share
the truth of his Torah and to fight
against the lies of idolatry,
of heresy and to warn people to stay
away from the bad and to help them get
to the good by showing them what the
good are. And the point of all of this
technology is to sanctify Hashem's name.
That's the whole point.
So yes, in order for this to exist,
people have to make money and yes,
people have to have the you know, the
ability to make you know, videos that
are even against God and and do all
types of bad things. With everything you
could do bad and you could do good with.
If you choose to do good, you'll be
blessed. You choose to do be bad, you'll
be punished.
Are you Orthodox rabbi or modern?
Orthodox.
He realizes [music] he's sick.
Spiritually sick. Nothing wrong with
him. All spiritually sick.
There's nothing wrong with being
spiritually sick. [music]
There's something wrong with denying it.
