What is the problem of the generation when it comes to relationships? I believe it's a question of living in the present and being able to make abstraction of everything else around. In Torah, the expression that describes the union, the marriage between [music] husband and wife is called kiddushin. The word kiddushin in Hebrew comes from the word kadosh. Kadosh means sanctified. What does sanctified mean? It means set aside for something holy. So, whenever we want to be able to have that relationship, that real union, that real intimate connection, we need to sanctify time. We need to set aside time. We need to be able to block everything else and say, "I'm present."
