Which Angel Are You? Rabbi Benzion Klatzko

hello this is ben ceon kladsko i want to share with you an idea in last week's parsha practice vallero it was related that avraham our forefather was greeted by three angels each one charged with a different mission one angel had a mission to destroy the wicked city of saddam the second angel was charged with the mission of telling avraham and sarai that the following year they would give birth to a son the third angel was given two missions to heal avraham from the circumcision that he had just performed and his second mission was to save lot from the city of saddam arab has asked the following question an angel by very definition has only one job an is a manifestation of god's will god's will by very definition is one so how is it that one angel should have two jobs they answer the following there are three ways to effect change in the world one way is to get up deliver good news get up at the podium speak be eloquent try to inspire but there's no plan of action and that may or may not be an effective way to effect change the second way to effect change is by hunting and destroying iniquity and evil being the fighter there are times in history like yehuda hamakabi like the maccabees where a person has to go on a person has to fight but there's a danger when we become the fighter constantly we're always going negative and ultimately we will end up burning the good along with the with the wicked with the evil it's a very scary proposition but there's a third way to affect change that's through positivity through healing through saving it's no coincidence that the very same angel that was there to heal avraham was also able to save load the message is clear every generation has its challenge there are always difficulties and there are always problems there always will be we have to face them and be realistic about them the question is what do we do about those issues we can get up on the podium and speak and bang and scream and try to be eloquent and affect change but that may or may not be effective there's no plan of action the second way to affect change is by going negative you write negativity you blog negative you put in facebook all sorts of negativity and you hope that you'll destroy evil in the process but unfortunately you end up destroying good together with the evil that's a very risky proposition as well there is a way to affect change and this is a lasting change a wonderful uplifting way a way that historically works and that is a road forward and that's through positivity to see the good that does exist in our people even in people who fall short of their duty to not be so judgmental for we wouldn't want anyone to shine a bright light upon our actions to look at each person and say you know i understand that you may have fallen but i too have fallen let's together stand up get up and march towards change march towards making a difference the angel that caters towards positivity whose mission is to be positive to save and heal can affect more than the angel that's there to destroy it's my message to you you're watching this video you're online you read positivity you read negativity don't let the negativity affect you it deadens the spirit often it's unfair it's hugely unhealthy turn off the negativity try to affect the world in a positive way we need people like you we need people will get up and lift up their friends lift up the neighbors help out the strangers help out those who who need their spirits healed if you could be that kind of person then you could truly affect change and your reach will be that much greater thank you very much
