People who aren't in the music industry, can you break down exactly what it is that you do? I know there's a couple of you obviously play trumpet, but you're also an arranger and a conductor. So, can you explain what what those are and what you do? They don't give enough credit for any of it. >> People will say something like, "I don't know. What's the What do they need you for? Just give them the music and let them play." Where does the music come from? A song is just a melody. And the way I like to explain it thematically is song needs a universe to live in. It needs a place to exist. Otherwise, it's just a plane that at at a boat. To bring it to life, it needs a place to exist. And that's what the arranger does. He'll work with the producer and the singer, of course, but he'll decide and try to work out what the song is going to sound like. What universe it lives in. Is it a pop song? Is it a rock song? What kind of instrument What is it going to sound like? And that's what the arranger does. He Often, he'll write the introduction, sure, the interludes in between. And eventually, it's got to go to musicians to play. And they need parts. It's harmony. What A melody has just one line, right? But an arrangement has many things going on at the same time. >> Sure. >> And that that's that's really what the arranger and the orchestrator does. He He divides the parts among the musicians so it it it sounds like an arrangement.
