what is stopping meshiach from coming why is mashiach not here i think i have an answer to this question i think i have figured out why michigan what's stopping from coming how do we want god to unfortunately people are just so busy because there's so much out there today with this social media so of course i heard the news somehow because my student told me who has a smartphone i don't have a smartphone not a new shiva at least and so i heard about mashiach coming somehow through my smartphone at home and so i'm at the party eight o'clock i come with my suit my tie because of course i'm ashkenazi for this story and i'm looking at the clock it's eight o'clock i'm sitting there with a bunch of other nerds and because we got nothing else to do and we're like okay where where's mashiach when is this party starting enough it's already 8 30 8 32 yekish what's going on we said mushy party tonight at 8 of course being the meshach party hashem was there and believe it or not he was listening to my thoughts and i guess some other people think of the same thing and all of a sudden this voice just comes out and says you think i'm starting the party of meshiach and all my children are not here yet there's the meshiach party he's here is just at the doorsteps it's all the time already what's stopping mashiach what's stopping the party from being started so a few of us religious guys with big beards are there right and we're saying okay we're here we follow the mitzvahs when is misha coming why isn't here and hashem says you think i'm starting my party and my children are not all here when all my children will be here that's a time to celebrate that's the time to start the mashiach party go back out there and get them and i'll take it one step further how could you think about starting a party and your brothers and sisters are not here and now we come back to the beginning and now i get serious we started with what's stopping the shia from coming we asked how should god relate to us what kind of judgment do we deserve so here's my insight here's what came to me today you want god to be nice you want god to love you you want god to treat you as a son how do you treat his other children do you treat them like brothers do you treat them like a brother then maybe you deserve for hashem to treat you like a son but if you've got no time for them hashem's other children then why should hashem have time for you why should he bring meshech what's stopping from coming i got the answer simple symbol to say but almost impossible to do have a heart feel the other person don't just look at him feel him can you feel the person next to you how about a person you don't know starving sad depressed on medication on drugs maybe can you feel him or you're too busy when we see the other person as our brother when we feel that he's a part of us you're going to come to the party of meshiach and your left hand is missing no you want your left hand with you so you want that other jew with you he's a part of you you're a part of him what's stopping mashiach bottom line i don't have to learn all of shah's which i'll admit i haven't yet in a gilgal maybe i did so maybe i actually do know all of sha's what's stopping meshiach coming it's not jewish philosophy it's not jewish mysticism it's caring and feeling and making time and even willing to be uncomfortable getting into your personal space for the sake of another when we do that hashem will do that for us because ultimately he's the father we're the children we have brothers and sisters and if i can stop thinking about only me and i can think about my brother and sister and cousin and so on then hashem will definitely think about me and us and all of us i'm not a preacher although i did a good job but i'm not a preacher and i said already that it's simple simple the solution is simple but actualizing it and doing it is almost impossible almost we can do it we can slow down the motions we can slow down the the hustle and bustle of life and create enough time for someone else we can do it we can do it and when we do it meshiach will be here one short story a my says this is what happened to me one day that i was able to with hashem's help slow down my own life to be able to have ears to listen and eyes to see walking down the street on the jersey shore which is where i spent a lot of time unfortunately i'm walking and of course i was in a very happy happy mood why because i realized god live god is real and he's here he's with me unbelievable way to walk down the street with hashem and that was when i first started doing shuvers so i felt it and i was in that moment very happy walking down the street and i look to my right and see an old man sitting on his porch and i say hello how are you sir and he responds in a very unusual way i'm like and i'm and of course again i'm walking so i didn't stop walking i was saying hello figuring i'll continue on my way and he just he calls out begging for help begging for someone to listen and even in that state of mind i was already like at least five yards past him and i'm like wait a minute wait a minute this is not normal this man is hurting this man is calling for help and i turned around and continued the conversation sat down with him in a few minutes he was bawling crying on my shoulder and we had our conversation now what happened of that conversation i'm not absolutely sure i went on and realized as i was walking that if i didn't take that extra moment to pay attention to that man calling out for help take that extra few moments to stop and listen and come and sit down with him then that would never have happened never have happened okay so you'll say flaming balshuva we can all be flaming about shooters all the time or halawa maybe we should be flaming about shooters all the time we will live a different life a better life i want to add a story from today because it's very easy to talk about times when hashem lifted you up to heaven and you were literally you know flying high walking on earth so of course you were able to see beyond the superficial but just tonight i was sitting at home trying to prepare for this talk which half of it is still here so i hope you guys have patience for the second half of this and i'm thinking about what do i want to tell you guys i see you guys every day fresh he learned book hashem he just finished massachusetts he's only 13. you know i would love to finish have yet to finish it and we let him have his you know fun time also he's a kid after all i'd love for him to be like reva yoshi just you know finishing more gemara's motherboards but we need this time so we'll then play this video game now he's been playing this video game in his spare time and he's reached level 400. okay 400 and something happened with the computer and he turned it on and was back to level one now here i am about 15 minutes or maybe 10 minutes before i had to give this talk thinking to myself i really need to get my thoughts straightened out and he comes to me and he says abba i just turned on the computer i'm like waiting on the beautiful just it's dinner time like you understand listen listen and i almost didn't listen but then i heard he said you know i turn on the computer and we're at level one i was at level 400 and it could have went in one at the other and this sounds very trivial right who cares about the video game and i guess in this course of what i was preparing i said to myself listen what am i what am i going to come and speak to you guys about tonight feeling the person next to you in his world it's a big thing that his game has been playing for months in his spare time went from 400 to zero these guys thought again i'm going to tell him listen a son it's only a video game it's only a video game no big deal don't sweat it is that really relating to where he's holding and how he feels about what happened no what about me you know person has a profession oh he's a lawyer he's got a case it's a big case is getting paid money ultimately all this gosh mute all this physicality is small stuff the gemara message says don't sweat the small stuff small stuff ultimately means nothing at the end of the day when it comes to your neshama and the eternal life all this small stuff is nothing whether it's a video game whether it's a new car whether it's a thousand dollar painting whether it's some kind of project you're working on for months it's all small stuff so i said how am i going to relate to him now he said his video game went back to zero so of course as i'm working on this idea and i was at the point actually bid you of feeling for the the other guy not just seeing not just you know giving him a moment to hide feeling what he's going through and i said to myself you know what right now that's that's in his life big wouldn't be fair for me to just ignore it that's just one example one example we are all faced with situations that present themselves on a day-to-day basis hour by hour ultimately we have to really focus on and make the the the icker the main thing of our life the interpersonal relationships if the second base dimension was assured because of then the way to bring it back is the reverse it's all about how much time we make and how we treat how we look at and how we feel for someone else
