People ask me all the time, What's the secret of Vayimaen? Why is it so wildly successful? And perhaps even more importantly, Why is it that people who started being more careful about Shemiras Einayim for two, three, four weeks, have really otherworldly types of stories? Yeshuos and all kinds of incredible things in their life that were just falling apart that all come together. What's the secret sauce? Someone says to me, Is it the marketing? Is it the music? Is it the Vayimaen jingle? What is it? You know, many of our Gedolim have pointed out that perhaps the greatest challenge and the greatest struggle of our generation is in areas of Kedushah. Everywhere that we go, we're bombarded with Nisyonos and challenges that try to take us down. The Brisker Rav says something which is incredible. The Brisker Rav says, It says in the pasuk, It's a time of struggle, a time of challenge for Klal Yisroel, and from it we will find our salvation. The Brisker Rav points out that the first half of the pasuk is לשון רבים. עת צרה היא ליעקב Yaakov is us, it’s Klal Yisroel. The collective Klal Yisroel. But then וממנה יוושע means that I will receive, I'll get salvation from the עת צרה? So he says something incredible. He says, If you focus on surviving the struggle and the challenge that's there for Yaakov, the עת צרה ליעקב, then ממנה, from being part of that struggle and that challenge, יוושע, you get your own Yeshuah in the area that you need it. So when you take time to try to be more careful where you look, where you click, where you go, so you're participating in the issue and the challenge of Klal Yisroel, the Yeshuah doesn't just come in the form of more self-control, of more Kedushah, and it does, it also comes to your personal place. ממנה, from being part of that struggle and working on it, יוושע, you get your own Yeshuah, your own personal salvation.
