so we got the Torah on a mountain in the desert the desert was called Sinai and the mountain called Mount Sinai what in the world kind of desert which shows on Berenice and desolate it has to do with receiving the Torah and the name of the desert Sinai oh the wine tastes great comes from the Hebrew word SEMA which means hatred what does the Torah have to do with hatred in order to receive the Torah you have to make the world around you like a desert a desert is barren desolate empty when you study the Torah remove your mind from anything which is possibly distract you nothing else exists except God and the godly wisdom that you are learning yes or avoiding life issues and pretending nothing else exists from studying Torah but I don't have to make a living have a ton of responsibilities or bills to pay and stuff to do keeping in check with reality and make sense to say that while it sounds beautiful to have nothing else exists while learning Torah practically it doesn't always work out that way and that's why this mental state of desert in which you put yourself while learning Torah a state of mind where nothing else exists is the Sinai desert Sinai coming from the Hebrew word sino which means hatred not only are you away from everything else but you hate anything else which can possibly intrude on your desert bliss where you're one with God you're learning of Torah something's going to interfere with me and God hugging it out there has to be some hatred I hate it no not your spouse kids boss or coworkers no but I hate that part of you that tells you this is an interference with your connection with God making a living as a missile caring for those people is a mitzvah loving all people dementia but the same way we're commanded to make a living and care for and love other people we are commanded to set aside time to study Torah set aside a time that you absolutely hate anything that's going to try and interfere with your hugging it out with God you set aside time to study Torah which should be every day only care about the things that are really deserving of your attention and I'm putting myself on the line over here I'll just say speak to your local rabbi find out what those things are but otherwise anything that tries to join you in the desert and distract you hate it and again not your kids spouse boss or other people we don't hate people that's just not the thing wishing everybody is super joyous holiday and if you're any near a lot of Miami Lakes there comes to the reading of the same commandment there's no excuses this is the lesson we learned from how God gave us to Tarot to disregard different things in the world that decide they're so important in place of our learning what better day to implement this lesson which we learn from God giving us the Tarot than the day on which God gave us the term by disregarding the work we feel we must get done and come to synagogue and say hey my boss at work 8 my boss he's my boss he is boss like in a very light sense of the term I mean this holidays like cheesecake and like awesome stuff bro see you there [Music]
