I say this without any judgment upon the previous generations because they did what they had to do to survive when I say a defense mechanism I literally mean defense like they kept themselves Alive by not dealing with certain stuff they just couldn't afford to deal with they couldn't afford to deal with it and they had to be meaner and tougher and they had to be detached from their emotions and they couldn't cuddle or they didn't know how to be warm in a supportive way they couldn't figure out that balance and again no judgment but now we're entering into a new era where the first generation to start to say we're going to raise our children with the love the compassion the Courage the strength that comes from knowing that we live in God's world that we are safe we are loved we're taken care of
