when we're all together we're unbreakable the love for your fellow jew start there start with love mommy just got a newborn baby girl from the store no where did she get it from [Music] did something very special happen in our family i don't want a baby a what a newborn baby it's a little dark no okay this week's drawer portion is called neat seven which means standing on the last day of his life our leader maisha moses right before we enter the promised land is giving us a speech which he starts off by saying which means you are all standing today and he goes on to literally list for lack of better word every category of jew that was there which was all of us standing together of course like in every area of terra and every word and every nuance there are layers upon layers of meaning to this but here's one today refers to the day of rosh hashanah that is very soon upon us we must be standing we must be victorious in judgment we must be worthy of a new year full of the best blessings that we can possibly experience how can we be sure that we will stand victorious in judgment how can we be sure that this year will be one of blessing and success in everything in all of our endeavors it is by being together it is our unity when we're [Music] okay so i want to say mazel tov to you and i just want to say mazel tov to you because now you have a newborn baby sister so it's the morning here and i'm sitting and learning at the table and meryl just told me something very cool merle can you repeat it please for everybody she took a couple of sticks put them all together and um she called up each person to come and try and crack the sticks and um all the girls couldn't even crack the sticks because it was all together so so my mother even tried cracking the sticks and she couldn't even do it and then the sticks were all separate she gave it one by one to each person and then and then we all tried cracking it and it was so easy that we all did it at the same time what's the lesson from that we're not so powerful and and when we're all together when we're all together we're unbreakable now you're a big brother no big brothers don't hit big brothers are nice so you want to know if you've truly successfully accepted upon yourself the sovereignty of hashem for a new year check out your behavior in your relationships with hashem's children with other people has there only been a change in your relationship with hashem are you now studying more torah are you now doing a mitzvah extra carefully that's great and i'm not negating that at all but the proof that you're really doing those things properly and the proof that you've really accepted upon yourself hashem's kingship is if you love more if you love other people more you a better person may this day may this great and glorious and awesome day the day of judgment the day of rosh hashanah take place in a world where mashiach is revealed reveal mashiach now in your life by loving more so study more tight do another mitzvah with more passion love more and let's celebrate together not just stand together victoriously but dance together may we see moshiach now okay wish everybody a very happy sweet new year and also [Applause] [Laughter]
