Vote for Inna Vernikov!

[Music] I have actually been following and visiting the Syrian community for way before I was in office. I was a student of Rabbi Mansor in seminary. I have many many friends in the Syrian community and I absolutely love this community. I think you guys are one of the most hospitable and generous communities that we have and I am proud to represent you in city hall. So my number one issue in general is public safety and I know that public safety is extremely important to this community. We worked closely with our Republican and Democrat colleagues in city hall to make sure that our police is refunded. We always speak out and make sure that our police is not handcuffed like the previous administration did. We make sure that there are security cameras. I funded many security cameras in my district last year. We want to make sure that our houses of worship are secure. We want to make sure you have the proper funding and grants to continue securing your houses of worship and that everybody is safe. Um, and we want to make sure that people can just have a great quality of life in our neighborhood. And aside from constituent services and making sure that our neighborhoods are clean and safe, I am here to continue fighting anti-semitism, whether it be on college campuses, on our streets, in banks and corporations, and in our schools. [Music] There should be zero tolerance for anti-semitism in our district, in New York City, and in our country. A few months ago, we watched the release of female hostages from captivity. One by one, they were coming out. They're just 20 years old. And they were surrounded by Hamas terrorists. They were masked. They were armed. And these girls were absolutely petrified. And I had asked the women's caucus to make a simple statement condemning Hamas for holding these young Jewish women hostage and calling for the release of the remaining hostages. And for some reason somehow that became extremely controversial and the women's caucus could not bear to make that simple statement. Supposingly, the women's caucus is supposed to stand up for women's rights and supposed to fight for women. But when it came to standing up for Jewish women, they couldn't do it. That is totally unacceptable. And I will not sit on a caucus that cannot stand up and make a simple statement supporting Jewish women. I know many people don't believe it's important to vote in Republican primaries, but as a proud conservative Republican, I urge you to vote in this primary as I am running against someone who is a lifelong Democrat who has always supported Democrats, who has endorsed Democrats like Chuck Schumer, who's voted down the line with progressive Democrats. And it is important that we have someone representing us in our community who believes and stands up for our values. On June 24th, please come out and vote. And if you're leaving for the summer, please make sure to vote early from June 14th to June 22nd. Thank you so much. [Music]
