The Torah tells us in Parshas Emor that a Cohen that has a blemish, that has a מום may not serve in the Beis Hamikdash. And the Pasuk goes into great detail explaining to us what type of מומין we are talking about. איש עיוור somebody that's blind, או פסח או חרום או שרוע או שבר יד או שבר רגל and so on and so forth. Somebody that has a problem with a bodily function, is told he cannot serve in the Beis Hamikdash and he can't bring Korbanos. What's the understanding of such a restriction? Why should that be so? What did this person do wrong that he doesn't merit to do the Avoda in the Beis Hamikdash? Listen to the most inspiring Peshat from Reb Shlomo Kluger in the Sefer Chochmat Shlomo. Let's go back a second. The Aibishter created the world for one Tachlis Because the Aibishter wanted there should be a Klal Yisroel that will serve him. The obvious question is was the Aibishter lacking people or beings that were serving him? He had in Shomayim thousands and thousands of Malachei Hasharet, Malachei Elyon that were created on day two of creation. Why did he have to create man? And the answer is Hashem Yisborach doesn't feel the satisfaction that he is looking for when the Malachei Hasharet are serving him. They don't have a challenge. They don't have Nisyonos. They're not faced with any other force. So of course they serve the Aibishter. The Aibishter created man with his limitations, with his restrictions, with his hardships and his trials and tribulations and nevertheless, he gets up and he proclaims Vayimaen! That brings the Aibishter satisfaction. Says the Chochmat Shlomo A Cohen that has a מום he doesn't see well, he can't walk well, his arm doesn't work the way it works by a regular person, he's not faced with the same amount of challenges as a healthy human being. If he can't see, then he doesn't have a challenge of Shmiras Einayim. He doesn't have to say Vayimaen when he’s walking down the street Says the Aibishter: He’s not a Cohen that can serve in my Beis Hamikdash. I am looking for people that have challenges are being tested on a constant basis. Every move that they do, every time they open their eyes, they're proclaiming Vayimaen. That's the type of people that bring me the ultimate Nachas Ruach. We in our generation that are faced with so many challenges, is because the Aibishter loves to hear how Klal Yisroel stand strong, face challenges and say Vayimaen.
