Imagine every movement in your body would be upside down, and then your body would have to put it back on the normal way. Well, scientifically, that's exactly how the eye works. When you see an image, your eye sees upside down and your brain has to work that image, to put it back in a normal way. Why in the world would God make such a weird invention? Why can't you make it normal? When I grab food, I grab it the right way, it goes straight into my mouth. I don't have to grab it backwards and then put it in my mouth, and my mouth puts it back normal and then I could swallow it. Makes no sense. Why is that? The ways of Hashem are wondrous, but perhaps it’s because the eye is so tricky. In English we say, I totally disagree. You see, an image, sometimes you think you understand what it is and you don't. We see people, we judge them very quickly on their appearance, then you get to know them a little bit deeper and you realize, I was tricked. We are now in the middle of a war. Israel's at war against Hamas. And you have people who may not look like angels, who are fighting in the IDF, but these guys are angels. I went there a few weeks ago. I came back, I could tell you, every single one of them gives their lives for us. How many times you judge someone based on what they look like and it was a whole different story. Usually that's how it goes. We see someone, we have a judgment, and then we realize after talking to them, that they’re amazing people, they have a crazy story that is super interesting. So that's why Hashem makes an eye that sees everything upside down, because we have to take everything we see and analyze it and see, Is it worth it? Is it what it looks like? Or there's something deeper behind it. It's the same thing with the eye, the difficulty of not looking at certain images. But those images, do they really portray the truth? Or maybe we should think twice?
