Chazal tell us that there are 10 Nissim took place in the Beis Hamikdash and one of those 10 miracles was “Shelo Irah Keri L’Kohen Gadol B’yom Hakipurim that the Kohen Gadol does not become Tomah “Tumas Keri” on Yom Kippur a Tomah that would invalidate him For serving in the Beis Hamikdash on Yom Kippur, the most important day of the year for the Kohen Gadol to be involved in the Avodah and the question is obvious That's a Nais, that's a miracle? Here you have the Kohen Gadol the greatest person in Klal Yisrael the one who is Zocher to enter into the kodesh Hakedashim and it's on the holiest day of the year on Yom Kipper. And it's a Nais, it's a miracle. The fact that he didn’t become Tomah “Tumas Keri”? He has been working on himself the whole week to ensure that he should go into Yom Kippur B’Kedush U’vtaharah the Chachamim helping him. What kind of miracle is this? That he didn't become Tomah “Tumas Keri” A simple Basic Tomah On the day of Yom Kipper. But the answer the Sefarim Hakdoshim give us is obvious that specifically because he was the Kohen Gadol entering into the Kodesh Hakdoshim and it was on Yom Kipper That's why the Yetzer Horah was going to do everything in it’s power to make sure that he would fall to the place of Tomas Keri and invalidate him from serving in the Beis Hamikdash The greater the Kedusha is The greater the Zeh L’umah Zeh the greater the Yetzer Horah is going to he and therefore it wasn’t nature that is was able to overcome the challenge it was a miracle that happened every year allowing this Kohen Gadol to overcome the tremendous challenge an obstacle that the Yetzer Horah placed in his way, and to allow him to serve in the Beis Hamikdash and enter in to the Kodesh Hakedashim on Yom Kipper We tend to think of our challenges and our struggles and areas of Kedusha as being signs of our own failure as being a proof that we're not doing enough. And that's why we're dealing with such challenges. That's why we're constantly faced with Nisyonos But the truth is just the opposite. On the contrary, we need to look at every challenge and every Nisayon as the biggest proof that the Yetzer Horah sees us as being a proper target. He sees our growth, he sees where we're going. He sees the greatness that we're, that we're striving for, and the Yetzer horah says, I need to do whatever I can to place obstacles in the way of this potential Tzadik to make sure that he can't reach the heights that he would like to reach. And when we're able to look at our challenges and the areas of Kedusha this way, and recognise we're the kohen Gadol on Yom Kipper about to enter into the Kodesh Hakedashim And that's why we're faced with challenges we’ll have the strength and we’ll have the Koichus to be able to overcome those challenges and to be able to enter into our own Kodesh Hakedoshim on our own Yom Kipper
