I'm a Vayimaen Yid | Rabbi Motty Kesserman

One of the most precious moments in the life of a Yid is Erev Yom HaKippurim, when a Tatte puts his hand on the child's head, when we get a Bracha for our Kind. Every father, such רצונות, and he begs the Aibishter: Ribono shel Olam, help my child should have Bracha. Help my child should succeed. Help my child should be עומד in the Groise נסיונות הזמן. When I was a little boy, our family used to go, in the summer, we used to go on trips, family trips. I used to go with my father, we used to go on trips. One summer, I was talking to my father about the summer, where we were going in the summer, and my father tells me: This summer I have to be more careful than usual. I can't go here, I can't go there. And I said: Tatty, you should be מאריך ימים ושנים, Why? What's this summer different? So my father told me: This year, I just got a job in Manhattan. A Yeshiva Man, a Ben Torah. And for me, it's a tremendous challenge to go work in Manhattan. It's a tremendous Avoda for me right now to make sure I don't get desensitized, and my Neshama, my eyes stay pure. So this summer, on my own leisure time, I’m going to be more careful than usual. Each one of us, when it comes Chol HaMo’ed, there comes a time when a Yid goes out with his family. Each one of us has an opportunity of teaching our children. I'm a Vayimaen Yid. I'm a Yid that works on my Neshama, works on my Shemiras Einayim. And the greatest way to be מחנך Ehrliche Yiddishe דורות, is when our children see their parents, the child sees the father, his tremendous self-control. So the Aibishter helfn all our רצונות for our children to be Ehrliche Yidden, to be עומד בנסיונות הזמן, should be מכוח אל הפועל, and we should be zoche, each one of us, to have Ehrliche Yiddishe דורות. We should be zoche בקרוב to בניין בית המקדש, במהרה בימינו.
