When a Karliner Chasid went out into the street and he went through the streets and he came to his destination, and he felt that he remained loyal to his Neshama, loyal to his brain and heart and soul and true presence, he went out on a dance. The dance was on the words I will exalt you, Hashem, Ki Dilisani, because you have uplifted me. You did not allow the enemy within to triumph over me. And I always found that little story moving, because it means having the ability to celebrate your small victories, having the ability to say, you know what? I just did the right thing and I'm grateful for it. We often tell ourselves, Eh, if I don't change the whole world, if I don't withstand a test that is earth shattering and is titanic and is of nuclear nature, it's insignificant. That's a mistake. ארוממך ה’ כי דליתני Be grateful for every moment, every hour, every day of exaltedness, of sublimity, of refinement, of purity, of love, of holiness, of connection.
