Beautiful Cement | Rabbi Yosef Palacci

A few years back, we had a guy, his name’s Mike. He comes into our Shul and he says, Rabbi, I must tell you this story and share it with the world. He says to me like this. A few years back, I was getting religious, and as I was getting religious, I said I wanted my wedding to be separate. Mechitzah-style, that's what I wanted. He went to his parents and told his parents and his parents say: Listen, if you want it like that, you pay for the wedding. He says: What do you mean? How can you do that? This, that, back and forth. It was back and forth. He says: Listen, we're paying, this is the way it's going to be. If you want to pay for it, do it the way you want to do it. He went to his bank, he saw how much money he had, and he piled everything up and Baruch Hashem, he had it, but he was missing a few thousand dollars. That day, he was working in the city and he says, I’m going to make sure that I’m going to be Shomer my Einayim. I'm going to make sure that my eyes, he says, like Rav Avigdor Miller says, Hashem made cement beautiful so you could look on the floor as you're walking. He says: That's what I'm going to do. I’m going to look at the cement floor. And he goes down and he's looking his eyes right on the cement, consistently going, looking, looking, looking, looking, looking on the cement. And as he's walking, he sees a glitter through the crack of the cement. He says: Oh my Goodness, this is, like, a gorgeous glitter. What is that? He bends down. He sees it's a ring. He tells me: Rabbi, you don’t understand. I felt HaKadosh Baruch Hu, Hashem’s right there, giving me a Chazak U’Baruch. Yasher Ko’ach! Wow! I was so happy. I took that ring. I went to go price it out how much it was. He says: Rabbi, I can promise you, I can promise you this, The amount of money that I got from that ring was the same exact amount of money that I was missing to pay for my wedding. He says: That showed me that when you’re Shomer Einayim, Hashem’s going to shower you with such Bracha, Shefa Bracha. This is the lesson that we know. When we watch our eyes, Hashem says, I'm going to pour down the tremendous Bracha.
