But the religious war that's happening is affecting all of us to such an extent that this secularism is even affecting the religious world. People do not notice themselves finding more and more in common with the secular people they look up to than they do with Mosheu. Now, what will Mosher Rabenu say to the secular people? Countless newly successful people have made showing off their newfound wealth and success a standard in today's society. In past generations, generally speaking, people were much more conservative and you knew of specific types of wealthy people when they were literally the equivalent of billionaires. Hashem tells you it's not because of your business acumen that you made money. No, it's not because you started videoing yourself doing every transaction where you gamble alongside the business that you succeeded. It's not because of the internet and technology and AI that you became successful. It's not because of the economy. It's not because of your skill set. It's certainly not because of the way you look. And it's definitely not because you think that working on Shabbat is okay. No. Do you know why you became successful? Do you know why all of a sudden you went from being broke in debt, barely able to buy food for your kids to now all of a sudden you have millions of dollars? Do you know why? Hashem's telling you why. You have now started the countdown. What countdown? The countdown to destruction. But unlike human logic that thinks of destruction as oh destruction must be bad all the way down. No. Just like a kadosh raised all the way to the top before he destroyed him. He raised Haman all the way to the top before he destroyed them. He raises the wicked that abandon his Torah all the way to the top before he destroys them. And he says he repays his enemies. We learned who his lovers were. His lovers were those that keep him the mitzvot. meaning that his enemies are those that don't keep the mitzvot. He repays his enemies in his lifetime to make him perish. He shall not delay for his enemy. In his lifetime, he shall repay him. In so many words, you became a judge now with a million dollar salary. You became the top jeweler. You became the Bitcoin hero. You became a top podcaster making millions of dollars just for showing up. You know why? Because you've officially entered the path of destruction. And the path of destruction of Hashem is he elevates you all the way high before complete destruction. Why? Because there's a few good things you did. You gave this homeless guy a few dollars. You helped this widow out for a few dollars. You say the blessing when you were younger whatever good you did in this world before you became a heretic before you became a Shabbat before you started eating pig before you became intermarried before all of that you did a few things that were good so Hashem has to reward you for that but since there's no chance he will allow you to even step a foot into gun eden he has to give you the reward for it so he's giving you the cookie crumbs of this material world make you feel like you're a winner cuz you're driving a million-dollar car. Which means that if you have troubles in your life, don't think for a moment it's because you're following the Torah. you have troubles in your life because that's what Hashem wants you to have at this point in order to test you in order to reward you even more later on. If you really want to show somebody love, give them things that you would want for yourself. Meaning that if you're going to help somebody, help them just like you want to want to be helped. Somebody reaches out to you, says, "Rabbi, I need a job. I don't know. I I I I don't even know where to go." Now, if I was in that position, and I didn't have a job, and I didn't know what to do. What would I need somebody to tell me? Listen, just go look look in the newspaper. Uh, you know, uh, what what could you do? Pray about it. Is that what you want? No. What do you want? Do you know that the Torah concludes that you are rasha from the moment you borrowed the money without having a plan of paying it back that you know you could pay it back already at that moment the Torah says you're a wicked person it's considered gazil why' you do that do you know why cuz that's the way people behave or worse yet they don't even answer your phone calls All of a sudden, when they needed the money, they called you 50 times a day. They came over your house, they text you, "Shabbat, shalom, how you doing? How's the kids? Best friend." The moment the debt came due, all of a sudden, their email is discontinued. Not disconnected, discontinued. Just disappears from the face of the earth just for you though. Everybody else the answer. Everybody else the answer except you knew nothing. So a person a person that does not show a of gratefulness honesty makes it very difficult for a bah to show him the good side of people helping him. If you're bad hashem will give you bad people. If you're good Hashem will give you good people. But if you really want to know what loving another person is according to the Torah, this is what it is. Do for others what you would want done for yourself. If you're going to help somebody, help them like you would want help. And this is not easy, but it's necessary in order to fulfill the Torah. Why can a Jew lend a non-Jew money? There's no problem of a Jew lending a Jew money or a Jew lending a non-Jew money. The loan itself is not a problem. Charging interest is where the problem lays. A Jew is forbidden from charging another Jew interest of any kind if that other Jew is a Torah observant Jew. If he's not a Torah observant Jew, he acts like a lives like a then you're allowed to charge him interest. Which also answers the second question. You're allowed to charge a non-Jew interest. The problem is when people hear, oh, you're allowed to charge him interest, therefore I could charge him whatever I want. I could just rip him apart and charge him 400% interest. Can you benefit from something you created before you were in the U uh yes sure as long as what you created is not against the Torah. Meaning if you created a legitimate business or product before you started keeping Torah and mit, you could certainly benefit from it after you follow the Torah. There's no problem in benefiting from it. But if it was corrupt, let's say for example, you started a cash advance business which is in its nature corrupt and manipulative and eventually it's going to be uprooted from the world. Um then whether you are religious or non-religious, you're not allowed to be in that business. You're not even allowed to be a bookkeeper in that business because it's a business that's predatory to everyone. That's becomes a customer. I like to call them victims. So no, you cannot benefit from it. And it's not because you became religious. You were never allowed to benefit from it even when you weren't religious. This is again the same part of the Torah that rebukes us, that says that he'll destroy and and and and and annihilate those that go against him. But as a nation, he will never ever abandon us. He will never choose another nation over us. He will never nullify the covenant with us because we're his chosen. That's it. and and end end of end of uh possibilities. Is online gambling allowed if I'm not in a real casino? Uh, no. Because online gambling is still gambling. Whether it's online or it's in person, it's still gambling. Now, going to a casino live is more problematic because there's immorality and immodesty there. They ban them from the casinos. Why? Because they're you're not opening a business for people to beat you. You're opening a business because you assume you're going to win. That's that's what casinos do. The same thing with bookkeepies and the same thing with all types of gambling. So, anyone that anytime that you gamble, you are putting your yourself in a position where that you're either you're going to be the thief or you're going to allow somebody else to be the thief. Either way, both of you are violating the Torah, you're a very serious problem and therefore you should not gamble. Not online, not in person and you should get a real job. Is it acceptable for a noi to intermar with Christians or Muslims? Well, you're not into marrying because they're also uh Noahides. They just follow false religions. Are you allowed to marry them? Yes, you're allowed to marry them. There's no uh problem in marry them as far as the Noahide laws. Uh the way you're going to probably have a problem is as far as if you're going to have kids and they're going to want the kids to follow their uh their ways and eventually try to convince you to follow their ways. So, that's something you have to take into consideration. But, as far as the nohide laws, you're allowed to marry uh other non-Jews. No problem. Does that mean that the other 4,999 are all evil, terrible people? No. It just means that you're not on the same page with the other people. That's it. That's all it means. So, you're not going to synagogue to become friends with people. You go in synagogue in order to pray to Hashem. Now, if you happen to also meet somebody that you could study Torah with, that you're like-minded with, that you could learn from, you know, that's that's an extra bonus. But that's not the reason to go to synagogue. Synagogue is not a uh social uh scene. Can you make something that is non-cooser for non-Jews even if there is a risk that a Jew could buy it? Uh it's very problematic as far as a Jew uh is not allowed to deal with uh to cook non-cooser food with uh you're not allowed to do it. that you could be an owner of uh a non-coosher business as long as you're not there. Like you could just be a silent uh partner or owner but doesn't actually participate in the business itself. But as far as to actually make food that's non-coosh, no, a Jew is not allowed to do that. So that could help you understand it but you can't read that stuff while you're praying. You have to pray. You have to re study that before you pray or after you pray. What's the purpose of the prayer? Why the prayer? Who instituted the prayer? All the different things. And I sent him links to a couple of places that he could buy these books on his own from these websites and then learn the books and he'll understand prayer. So you learned the words of the prayer a year ago, but you still have not learned the meaning of the prayer. For that you'll need commentary. You'll need explanation by and that you could get. Now, when he gets punished, he gets punished. The law of the land punishes him based on his crime, based on what he did, and that's it. in in accordance to their law, not in accordance to people's feelings, not in accordance to simply the law does not allow it. He violated the law, whether it was wire fraud or a uh you know corruption or so on and so forth. He violated their law and they're going to determine how they're going to punish him, how much uh you know, he has to pay back and how much time he's going to be in prison and so on. That's how law of the land works. Hashem does not punish that way. You see, before Hashem punishes a person or brings anything upon a person, he doesn't just evaluate their actions. He evaluates all of the people that are around that person and how they would be affected as a result of their loved one being punished. Meaning that if let's say this person did something bad, he violated the Torah and he deserves to die before Hashem kills him, he has to review all of the accounts of all of the people that will be affected by it. He looks at his wife and he looks at her account. He sees, "Oh yes, she also violated the Torah and she deserves to suffer. She deserves to suffer to be a widow." Okay. Then he goes to his parents. They're still alive. Do his parents deserve that he will die? He looks at their account. Yeah. They drive on Shabbat. They themselves deserve to die. So according to the Torah. So he goes to the next person to his brother to his sister. Now the mercy of Hashem and the reason why he says in chapter 4 verse number 31 that Hashem is the merciful God. What does it mean he's the merciful God? He isn't punished. No, it means that he is has the absolute mercy where whatever he gives you, this is the best possible choice. Even when it's punishment, even when it's punishment, that punishment is the best of all possibilities that you had available to you. Everything else was much worse.
