United Lubavitcher Yeshiva, ULY Ocean Parkway #7- Mikva, R Marlow shared Rebbe's immersion RC Dalfin

So, here we are in the renovated, you could say the brand new mikvah of the Lubavitch Yeshiva on Ocean Parkway. Um I remember using this mikvah probably 1974, 75, something like that. Although I believe it opened up already in 1969 when I was in the 69, I was in eighth grade, I think. Or maybe Rabbi Marlow's class, I don't remember. Anyway, no, no, no, sorry. No, no, 69 I came to Rabbi Rimler's class. Rabbi Rimler was our first rabbi in fourth grade cuz the first three years I learned in Lubavitch Yeshiva in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Uh where the Yeshiva bought the property in 1946. My rabbis were Rabbi Bernstein in first grade, Rabbi Mendel Love in second grade, Rabbi Weingarten in third grade. And for fourth grade we came into Rabbi Rimler's Yeshiva. He's the founder of the Rebbe. He was the one who introduced to us sheets with colors and stop signs. I remember we we made a project to build the the Aron we used boxes and colored it with a different color, you know, for the silver chalice and the put it all the all the colors, the copper, the gold, the silver. He was great rabbi. Anyway, getting back to the mikvah. So, the mikvah here you can see um these benches with the hooks for their for their clothing. And uh there's towels. I'm going a little closer to the actual mikvah, the actual bore. Which is right over here. Okay. Nicely designed. Very pleasant to be in. And I'll just end with a story with the mikvah. When I was in Rabbi Marlow's class, probably 74, 75, I saw him he came every day to for davening. And we went to the mikvah, he went to the mikvah before. And I happened to be in the mikvah. and I saw the way he he immersed himself. He did it feeler. The first time he's standing straight and he immersed he bent down. The next time he laid down like a like a fish and the next time he stood up and then he got he took a break a breather. And he did this three times and I asked him he's my rabbi said rabbi what's the reason you do that exact procedure for immersion for tevilah. And my mom said that the the teleban was our principal he told him that this is the way that I ever did it and it's our peak of onus. I think about something something like that. And it's called keriah kadag to to prostrate yourself like a fish at least the the middle the second and the fifth whatever the each set of three.
