um somebody I recently started seeing on
LinkedIn he's a mortgage broker you live
in Williamsburg oh
Lakewood I don't know why
people to get on LinkedIn get on
LinkedIn get on LinkedIn star green and
they're like what a different business
I'm a different industry
the mortgage business and the mortgage
business is in the ground right now I
hope you're making a lot of money but
it's hard it's hurting people are
hurting it's hard it's hard it's not as
easy as it was that's right okay
but you're a mortgage broker right now
in a market we're A lender you're not in
the same space
that it was two years ago no and you're
still creating content yeah so you tell
me do I need to be a recruiter to create
content on LinkedIn no you don't put it
around LinkedIn you're in the business
world
why people better know who you are
people will see you and go anywhere
hello what did he just say I'm missing
place
as well but we are fine but exposure
people don't realize you go you know I I
went through a few weeks ago okay and it
was probably two or three days after I
started and the person was like I have
no idea who he is and he's like you
started doing videos lately on LinkedIn
right so you go out there people know
who you are already some reads people
reached out
yeah
well here's my question to you
um it's very hard to get on camera it's
not comfortable people don't enjoy it
it's out of your comfort zone especially
if you grow up in the consideration belt
where we don't have we don't see media a
lot the only thing we do is read stuff
yeah we don't see digital what would you
suggest for somebody that wants to they
want to do it but they're very nervous
they're comfortable so just do it I've
had the thoughts for almost two years
now and wow it's okay let's do it
[Music]
it comes to a point where you want to do
it you want to do it just go out and do
it you're afraid you know you're gonna
have some whatever the video is not
going to be good right and this just do
it you'll get free advice actually until
you get me free advice you know you're
not the only one people reach out they
say move the camera off move the camera
down look at the camera and then it just
it goes a lot easier now when we're up
to date 14 day 15 than in the first few
days question
um when recording a video
script do you just talk do you record
twice and three times if you like if you
stutter by now only if I make a really
big mistake I would re-record it I think
before that what I would do and what I
would say and I just say it should I
tell you a little story years ago I was
posting videos on LinkedIn but I always
had I'm gonna be crazy energy not myself
I wasn't I was this fake person
one Sunday I'm sitting in front of the
windows great lighting I started
recording it didn't go as good I'm like
record again I recorded the video 30
times
I record once
you're watching this if you want to
start creating content on LinkedIn it's
very hard because you like you want to
be perfect it's fine you go into a sales
meeting you're going to stutter once in
a while it's normal record only once
that's my job that's what I do now ones
are unless there's a really big problem
right okay so two things number one go
follow them on LinkedIn number two he's
actually a very nice guy so yeah thank
you thank you
