Who Really Is the Antichrist? Rabbi Singer Reveals the Truth

There will be a person before Jesus makes his second coming who the Jews will set up as the Messiah in a temple and then they're going to worship him, but he really is Satan. I beg you regardless of the Bible you have in front of you, whether it has a cross or a star of David on its cover, read Zechariah 8:23 and they'll worship him as a divine being. Isn't that exactly what the church did with Jesus? >> [snorts] >> Okay, David, you're live on air. Go ahead and present your question to Rabbi Singer. >> Yep, thanks. Hi, I'm uh David from Detroit, Michigan and uh so my question is um basically I was a Pentecostal for most of my life and I realized um recently that some Christians believe, you know, the third temple, they say is the quote unquote synagogue of Satan. And then other Christians will say, "Oh, well, it's just symbolic. It's not a physical real thing." So, my question would be, which I feel like I should know this, but um if they're referring to Revelations, are they like overriding Zechariah? I mean, are they trying to fit Zechariah into Revelations? Or are they just kind of saying that Zechariah doesn't matter anymore and this is all going straight to Revelations? >> This is the problem of the church. Its core teachings are incompatible with Tanakh. But as it turns out, the Book of Revelation, as an example, was probably I wanted to say almost certainly, but that's very strong, but I'll say it was probably written about 94. What is um germane is that the when the Book of Revelation was written, we don't Well, we know his first name. His name was John. We don't know who was. But whoever wrote it, there was no temple during his time. When he referred to that the Jews are not Jews in the synagogue is a synagogue of Satan, Revelation chapter 2 verse 9 and 3 verse 9. He wasn't talking about the temple. The problem with the teachings of the church is again, they're just they don't They There's no point of contact between its teachings and Tanakh. In Tanakh, we're very much told that there will be a temple in Jerusalem. We're given its boundaries, its its dimensions, its windows, exactly where it will be built. It's the most There's no question that the end of the book of Ezekiel is the most contains the most saturated copious details of the Messianic Age in all of Tanakh, and there is no parallel to it. That's a big statement. Just the way it is. If you want to know about the events that will occur in the Messianic Age, you can just start reading Ezekiel 34 to the end, and you will realize what is happening now. And it's easy, very easy to understand. And we're told told about the Messiah, the prince himself, who's going to be a sin offering on behalf of himself, and they pay for unintentional sins. Ezekiel Ezekiel chapter 45 verse 20 and 22, the full resumption of the sacrificial system in full order in these pastures. These are not If you read it for yourself, and won't take a lot of reading, this is not a symbol or sign any of those things. This is very literal, material, just as the war between Israel and Persia. Very literal and it's unfolding now is kind of been put on some kind of a pause, but it's real the restoration of the Jews to their land and I find it unattractive when these Christians will take the Hebrew Bible literally when when the Bible prohibits homosexuality and cross-dressing. Then they take it literally or when the Torah talks about giving ties so then churches love to take ties and they take that very very little literally and that the church loves but other things they sort of spiritualize. So this idea is complete nonsense. Now the idea of an Antichrist is nowhere in Tanakh. I didn't say the word Antichrist. I'm just the idea of an Antichrist is nowhere in Tanakh. What is an Antichrist? Okay. An Antichrist is the height of dualism. So I'm going to explain this to you in the following way because the term Antichrist actually appears in the Epistles of John. It does not appear in the Book of Revelation. The term Antichrist doesn't appear in the book of but the concept is in the Book of Revelation as an example chapter 13. The Antichrist not by name but is in 2 Thessalonians as a son of perdition chapter 2. A very significant chapter of the church and I need your attention. Just focus very carefully. The term Antichrist could be used in the Christian Bible just to refer to anyone who is against Christianity, okay? And that's the Epistles of John strikingly is using it that way and speaks about Antichrist in the plural, Antichrists. So, to make this point, when Christians use the term Antichrist in a way, a rhetorical way, they just talk about anyone who's against Christianity like Luther and Calvin said the the Pope to be the Antichrist. They didn't mean he was the Antichrist, just he's against the teachings of Jesus. So, in that case, the word Antichrist is not capitalized. So, the word Antichrist in the English language can either be capitalized or not capitalized. When it's not capitalized, it means anybody who is Antichrist. So, we're going to set that aside, but Antichrist can be capitalized. And when it's capitalized, it means something more specific. It's important to understand this. Again, this is nothing to do with the Tanakh. When the Messiah comes, everybody gets it. That's the whole point of Messiah, that that all the nations will know that Hashem is Lord, and all nations will serve the Messiah. See Daniel chapter 7, verse 13 and 14. So, everybody's going to recognize that the Messiah is king, and God is going to give him what he didn't have. He's going to give him sovereignty, and he's going to give him honor and so on. And that means he's not God cuz he's receiving this from the Ancient of Days. This is very, very critical, okay? So, you will like Okay. So, there's no such thing of Antichrist. The whole idea is that and especially this um is um 2 Thessalonians. This comes This comes in It's This idea is going to be developed and developed further, further, further by the church fathers. So, I'll tell you what a um a large number of Christians believe. And that is that there will be a person before Jesus makes his own coming who the Jews will set up as the Messiah in a temple, and then they're going to worship him, but he really is Satan. Okay? So, this comes up loosely in 2 Thessalonians. The final battle between Jesus and the Antichrist, you'll find as an example in the book of Revelation, for sure. This is going to be spun heavily by the church fathers. Irenaeus is example. The person who takes this next level to the full iteration of the Antichrist as Christians, both Catholic and Protestant, view it is um Cyril of Jerusalem. He was a a church father, venerated both by the East and the West. He lived in the 4th century. He's a contemporary of of the Council of Nicaea, of all that stuff. So, he's living at a very critical juncture in Christian history, and he was fiercely anti-Jewish. Like all the church fathers. What makes some people who are anti-Jewish very dangerous is they're they're prolific writers, and then if or speakers as John Chrysostom was. These are people, unfortunately, who wrote a lot and wrote well, and made up stuff, and the church was really seized by their teachings. In this case of a a orthodox a Christian I'm using the word orthodox here lower case. So, an orthodox Christian Catholic church father who's revered also by the by the Eastern Church. The key point is this is all complete nonsense in that when the true Messiah comes, the Jews aren't going to worship Satan. The whole world is going to embrace the truth of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And 10 people who are not Jewish of different languages and nations will recognize that the Jewish people all along had the truth. I beg you, regardless of the Bible you have in front of you, whether has a cross or a star of David on its cover, read Zechariah 8:23. We find the exact opposite that the nations will come and grab a hold of the Jew and say, "N'halcha imachem, ki sham'anu Elohim imachem. Let us go with you for we have heard that God is with you." So, everything they're saying is completely the opposite. Now, this notion of an Antichrist sits well and is compatible with the dualistic beliefs in the pagan world, with Gnosticism. A world which was filled, saturated with the powers of light and the powers of darkness. That's what Zoroastrianism is. Gnosticism. Well, that was the This is the way people thought in the ancient world. That there were And it's understandable cuz in the ancient world people encountered horrible things all around them. And they >> [snorts] >> encountered blessings, a good harvest and a dead wife and uh rain and animals that won't give milk. And they didn't understand why this was happening. So, they figured there must have been a a good god and a bad god. There must have been a the great god and the demiurge using platonic thinking. This is the way this is there's no such thing as an Antichrist. But the notion that the at the end of days the Jews would build a temple and would have a Messiah but that Messiah is the Antichrist capital A and Jews would worship but he's really the devil he's really Satan. That's second Thessalonians. That's why there have been Christians that said um that said that the Antichrist will be a Jew which Christians believe. But that's where it comes from. There's really this idea is in second Thessalonians full disclosure. Although second Thessalonians purports to be written by Paul many people think it wasn't really written by him. Not germane. Christians believe that he wrote it. Whether he did or not is not a subject of this topic because that's a big part of the this picture of the Antichrist. The question we need to ask as people who love the God of Israel want to worship in truth is what does Tanakh say? What does the Hebrew Bible say? The Hebrew Bible says that the Gentiles will come to the Jews and say we made a mistake. Now we know God is with you. Well, if we're worshipping the Antichrist and we're wrong about everything including the Trinity and the doctrine of the incarnation and vicarious. We're wrong about everything and our father is the devil John 8:44. Why at the end of days pray tell why would the Gentiles come to the Jews and say we're we're wrong and now we know you're right. The Jews should be coming to the non-Jews to the Christians saying now we know that God is with you. So I always say my dear brothers and sisters go back to the original. Go back to the Hebrew scriptures. They're accessible to you in a way they haven't been in history in that in the ancient world if you want to read Tanakh you would have to have one that was written by hand. That's what the word manuscript means, and there was no publishing, no There was no books that were printed. That didn't start till about 500 years ago. Now, you can go online and read it for yourself. Do that. If you read the Hebrew Bible, if you are filled with the spirit of Hashem that that rests on every person that's devoted to Hashem, if you bow before him, if you praise only him, if you need bend stand alone, then Hashem is with you. Just go to the original scriptures. Then no Christian can rob you of your faith with God or claim that the Jews are going to worship the Antichrist. I got to say one more thing. Okay? This part is crazy. This part is nuts. But I might as well say it. Okay, there's no First, I must say, so there's no Antichrist. There isn't There's no such thing. However, I would be remiss if I didn't say this. This is such a projection of a sort that I hope you can wrap your brain around this. The Jews, the Christians say, will worship a false Messiah, and they'll worship him as a divine being. Isn't that exactly what the church did with Jesus? It's so striking that what they blame us for doing or what we're about to do is exactly what they did. Now, I'm not claiming that Jesus is the Antichrist. I'm just saying you can't You'd have to be blind, deaf, and dumb not to have noticed that what the core teachings of the church is to worship a man who's not the Messiah, to hold him up as the savior, and to worship him as a god, and saying he's our temple. Look, if you've never heard of Christianity and you've been living in Borough Park, so this will be unfamiliar to you. But, if you're familiar with any of the teachings of the church, you say, "Wow." So, I'm not saying that Jesus is the Antichrist, but it is odd that what they blame the Jews for, again, is precisely what the church is guilty of. I rest my case.
