Why would a building and the rebuilding of the temple mount would disisconfirm everyone's belief? Iran becomes the head of Shia Islam in the very very early 16th century. His view of the Jew is that they are tummy. they're impure in some way to the extent as you pointed out that even if a Jew [music] touches something that that thing becomes impure, unclean and in fact in Persia there were times when it would rain or snow in the mountains and Jews were told not to leave their homes unless the water hits the Jew and then touches something uh that ordinarily be permitted to a Muslim and now they can't eat it because the Jew imparts what's impure. I want to welcome back to the show, Rabbi Tovia Singer, one of the world's leading experts on the Hebrew Bible, biblical prophecy, and messianism. Today we'll explore Iran's war against Israel, rising anti-semitism and anti-ionism, Mamdani and Elsad in America and my theory that we're witnessing a clash between four competing forms of messianism. Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and secular messianism, particularly communism. Rabbi Singer, welcome back to the show. >> Hey, it's wonderful to join you. >> Um, I wanted to start with this question. Are we witnessing a clash of messianism ideologies today? When you look at the wars, the world wars against the tiny state of Israel. Uh we see there's Judaism, Christianity, Islam, communism, and some political upheaval in the world. So, are we witnessing something deeper than politics? A a struggling a competition between visions of redemption? So, as it turns out, Tanakh is very transparent about this and was supplied with a saturated amount of information like by a prophet like Ezekiel. First, I'm going to if those of you who want the short form, the prophets tell us that at every turn, we're going to be responding to an implacable enemy, which means that we're not going to figure this out on our own. It's a beautiful chapter in Isaiah 42 where the children of Israel don't know what to do at the end. we've returned and where do we go now? And God says, I'm going to hold you in and take you through a place and I'll make the dark places light, the crooked way straight, and the rough places smooth. In every case, we're told Ezekiel 38 go 39. We're told that nations go to war with Israel led by Iran and we will then respond to it and then destroy them. you you talked about Christianity, Islam, and communism. So, I want to rather than um separate them, I I just want to um address what they have in common. As far as goes, everybody flips on Jerusalem. Meaning when Jerusalem is in the hands of the Jewish people which triggers all the wars and then the temple is built then everybody gets it. Why would a building and the rebuilding of the temple mount would discon because the church said and the church fathers all taught that the Jews could never do this. Augustine Chrysostam Serill of Jerusalem Sol of Alexander all of the church fathers said that the Jews were destined to be in exile they're while once we were chosen but we have lost that covenant as it turns out Islam is identical on this point that means the Islamic Muslims believe that at a point the Jews were the chosen people of God but because we rejected uh the prophecies of Jesus we reject Issa as they call him, we rejected Muhammad. Therefore, we have lost our our uniqueness and Islam replaces us completely and Jerusalem will never be in our hands. And the Muslims went even further than the Christians. As the Christians left the Harbayas, the temple mount just destroyed with garbage there, the Muslims actually put the Dome of the Rock, right where the holy of holies is. So therefore, the restoration of the Jews to Ushim and the rebuilding of the temple tells everyone that the Lord is God. You mentioned communists. When will we'll take the Russian Empire goes from being a Christian empire to a communist empire after the revolution? While the Soviet Union is a godless state, the one thing that they adopted and inherited that metastasized was the anti-Jewish view. Jews, some of them supported communism because they thought that would end anti-semitism, but it did the reverse. So therefore, those who are godless, there's a saying in Europe like I don't believe in Jesus, but I know you killed him. So that seems to what's going on as well. everyone is banking on that we can't return and it's an utter catastrophe for their world view and therefore everyone the world if we throw out the world we're talking about six billion people flip on the point of the restoration of Jerusalem and the restoration of the Jews and that's how Ezekiel 39 ends that the restoration of the Jewish people the destruction of the enemies of Israel and Ezekiel is very clear that it's talking about Persia very clear which we know exactly what that is that and then would bring about all the nation will know that I am God and the Jewish people verse 22 or 39 and the children of Israel will know that I am God. >> So are you seeing this happening in real time and let's be honest about this there's an Islamic war against the Jewish state and against Jews around the whole world today. October 7th was one blow in a very long war, maybe started by the Muslim Brother in 1928. But since that war started in October 7th, I think he referred to this in Jeremiah as well. Since that hit against Jacob, I believe happened, things have turned, haven't they? I mean, hisbalah, the beeper incident, the leadership is knocked out. Kamas, I think, is kind of knocked out, but not sure about that. Iran, uh, America, uh, goes to war. one of the greatest empires in human civilization goes to war and they work with Israel to defeat Iran. Are you seeing these biblical prophecies take form right now? >> It very clear that Persia is Iran. They view themselves as heir to the Persian Empire. They the DNA testing on these people it's not just their collective memory. They are more than 60% of them are from the ancient world of the Persian. that war where the Nvi says Ezekiel 38:4 says that God will put hooks in their mouth like a beast and pull them drag them into a war that they logically should not want to be a part of. Persia is identified and that they go to war with Israel is explicitly in Ezekiel and it's very interesting thing I never mentioned this but it's striking that the Yalut Shimon it's an ancient um commentary on Isaiah tells us it's the commentary for those looking on Isaiah chapter 60 verse one arise and shine for your light is come kings will go by a chimona says that during this war of gumogo It says that Persia, the king of Persia will attack the king of Arabia. In turn, the king of Arabia will consult with Syria and some read it as Edom to figure out how to get out of this problem. So, we are living in real time in that it's unfolding now. And I want to explain why that's critical because the prophets tell us this happens in a way that everyone could observe this spectacle. According to the State Department, there are 27 wars raging in the world right now. But the one that makes the most news is the one that's happening in this thousand-mile distance, which is roughly what St. Louis is to New York. And everyone's watching this one. In the ancient world, if there was a war occurring here in Southwest Asia, Israel, uh people in Southeast Asia wouldn't know about it for years. But Ezekiel tells no, everyone's going to be watching this war and the turn on this war is going to be what flips the world. We're in it now. And as I mentioned, it's so odd that Persia, Iran, they're attacking fellow Muslims rather than attacking Israel at this point. And Saudi Arabia doesn't know how to handle this. And they're moving around asking what could we do? How do we get in? That's the language of the Alkmano. So we are very much watching this in real time. Let's uh go deeper into Shia Islam, anti-semitism and messianism. There are two forms of Islam. There's Sunni Islam and I think slightly later on Shia Islam. They call them 12 Shia in Iran. In fact, Mani's family are 12 or for example. The mullers of Iran I'm assuming are 12. And they've also they have a specifically more anti-semitic attitude towards the Jews that everything we touch is considered to be impure. Tell us more about Shia Islam, what its messianism represents. So Shia Islam initially begins as a political break uh because they there was an argument over who should head the leadership after the death of Muhammad. But it's not that way as you correctly pointed out there is a striking difference between the two as far what is very germanine to us. So in Shia Islam uh the end has to happen in a spectacular way with the destruction of the Jews. So therefore, Iran is incentivized to see a I mean, if they got a hold of a a nuclear weapon, they would not be like North Korea. North Korea is using a nuclear weapon to presumably protect itself so no one else attacks it. Iran is incentivized to actually use it. Their view of the 12ver means that they believe that there's a leader who is in occultation, who is in complete hiding. No one knows who he is but he is going to be revealed. Shia Islam's view of the Jew is also strikingly different than Sunni. So Iran becomes the head of Shia Islam in the very very early 16th century. His view of the Jew is that they are um tame. they're impure in some way to the extent as you pointed out that even if a Jew touches something that that thing becomes impure, unclean and in fact in Persia there were times when it would rain or snow in the mountains and Jews were told not to leave their homes lest the water hits the Jew and then touches something uh that ordinarily be permitted to a Muslim and now they can't eat it because the Jew imparts what's impure. So there the in Shia Islam the view of the Jew is darker than the Sunni Islam and therefore Iran's anti-Jewishness is amped up by this Shia regime and you correctly pointed out that Mam Dani is a a member in good standing of this movement that represents maybe 10% of the Islamic world. >> Let's talk about uh specifically the Muslim Brotherhood. uh they formed in 1928 in Egypt. They were a reaction to the falling of the Ottoman Empire by new Turkish empire as well. Uh they were the founding fathers let's call them of kamas of Turkish anti-semitism of extreme form of Sunni anti-semitism Sunni extremism which really sees Jews as the ultimate enemy. So let's talk about the difference. On the one hand you have these Sunni anti-semites. the other end you're having these Shia anti-semites, but you're saying the Shia seem to be more dangerous because you don't believe perhaps the Sunnis would use a nuclear weapon. It's not part of of the religious theology as much, but the Shia have a greater theology towards really destroying us, >> right? So, this is a matter of degrees. This is not like absolutely absolutely, but the Sunnis are very much looking forward to an end time that's more a heavenly end time. The Shia, their view, their tilt, their shading is uh direct towards here. It's going to happen imminently and it's a physical destruction of the Jews in this apocalyptic end time war. It's very important for the viewers to understand that today we're living in time where the state of Israel presents a presents a theological problem to most Muslims. I say most because there are Muslims who I know very well who are who are pro-Israel, but they represent a real outlier. What is should be striking to everyone is that Iran was working together with Hamas. Well, Hamas is a Sunni terror organization and Iran is a Shia terror state. It's the center of Shia Islam. So what we're witnessing is Sunni and Shia who battled each other and often killed each other in history are willing to set aside their differences because they're seeing something that's a much greater threat. And that greater threat is the Jewish state and the return to Jerusalem. Their view is that the Jews can never have control over over Jerusalem. That that's why they call it a catastrophe. Temple Mount is outrageous to them because after all, they think their third holiest site in Israel. They think that's Eloxa. Well, that's the the Jews now control the Temple Mount and Jews are praying there, which is which would have been for the viewer, just take my word for it. Five years ago, you got arrested for just praying on the Temple Mount. If you weren't a Muslim, if you were a Jew, you blowing a chauffeur on Telmat would have been unbelievable to them. So we are despite their differences, they're willing to work together for a greater cause and that's destroying the Jews. One other point should be made. Iran conservatively is directly responsible for the murder of over a million Sunni Muslims, meaning they sponsored Bashar al-Assad in Syria. In that civil war alone, he's by conservative estimates, he's responsible murdering um 600,000 Syrians, all them, the whole thing, right? And no one seems to care about this. I I need I explain more that means what's happened is that Iran is behind all these wars that are going on. The war that's going on in Saudi between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis is it's the worst kept secret in the world that Houthis are proxies of this there's no one there's not even a secret and Saudi Arabia is fighting for its life in their war that's happening now in real time so ordinarily you think that the Islamic world will go what's happening here why should we support Iran but the the threat in this ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood. The viewpoint that is so overarching that destroying the Jew in Israel is much more important to them than anything else. However, we're seeing something very strange and that is the Sunni Gulf States, which we're all very familiar with. They used to think that Israel was their greatest threat, meaning their great threat was due west, the Jewish state. But now, what's what's happening to people? Well, the UAE and all these other Gulf states is going, "Wait, our problem is not to the west. I mean, the Jewish state, our problem is to the east. It's Iran." And therefore, it's reorienting the Arab world, about 200 million people, and going, we may have to think this up. And that's why we see this confusion in the Islamic world today. Well, >> let's now turn to America to unpack it here. I want to hear what you have to say about this from a biblical perspective, from a messianic perspective, and so on. Today in America, we have a new phenomenon. It's catching on like fire. The democratic socialists of America, I'm sure you know about them. They've combined together what we call the red green alliance. The reds are the socialists and the communists, the Marxists and so on, with the Islamists, the the type of like Hamasnics, Muslim Brotherhood people. And they're embodied basically today in the form of Zoramani in New York City. And we have this new guy, Elsiad, in Michigan. I should tell you that's been revealed over the last week or so. The Elsiad family and him as well have deep, deep connections to the Muslim Brotherhood. The mother worked for a terrorist organization that was closed down by the State Department, the United States government. Uh the father-in-law was ahead of CARE, which is another Islamist organization supported by created by the Muslim Brother, United States of America. his sister was actually on the wa a terror watch list not only under the Republicans but under the Obama administration and how is it possible now with these two candidates they brought together both the left the socialists the communists and the Islamists under one bridge I'm trying to put my head around it I don't understand it right now how do Islamists work together with socialists how do you have gays for Palestine if the gays lived in if the LGBTQ community lived in Gaza they would have been thrown off the rooftops. How do these two people f how are they meeting together and working together in the United States of America? >> Right? So, as it turns out, we saw this phenomenon with a Shia state, Iran, working with Sunnis for the greater good of destroying the Jewish people. So, that's what they hold in common. Therefore, they're willing to set aside their very striking difference. And people are looking there and go, "How are you working together?" You pointed out, which is something that's very striking. That is in the Gaza Strip, if you're gay, they throw you off a building. The reason they throw gays off buildings is that they believe that when Sudome was destroyed and their chief sin was homosexuality, that Saddam was lifted up and dropped down. So therefore, that's how they have to die. But nevertheless, their opposition to a the Jewish return is greater. And I want to make this very clear in the you asked me the view of Tanakh because my expertise is not geopolitic. In the view of Tanakh, at every stage of the redemption, we're never the Jews are figuring out ourselves, but rather we're responding to an exterminationist view of seeking to undermine our existence. So I want to do is uh steelman this and go back to Herzel. Herzel was not only not a religious Jew. He didn't he wasn't even circumcised. So talking about someone who really was a completely assimilated Hungarian Jew. What animated him? What animated him was anti-semitism that emerged in the drivers that he witnessed and said that the Jew has no future in Europe. What what animated Jabotinsky? Exactly what Tanakh says. So Tanakh says that what would animate us is those who go to war to destroy us. Jabatinsky saw the pgrams of 1903 when uh on a Passover of that year. Uh the the Jews were just slaughtered because the the folks there thought that the Jews drank the blood of a Christian child. He saw that and realized the Jews had no future. So in every one of these cases it's anti-semitism that animates a Jew both religious and nreligious and as a result people are moving people are looking at you talked about uh people who are running a Michigan mamani and so on people are looking in that and the words of the sages uh become filled with light in that they say that hmon accomplish more than the prophets were able to accomplish for Jewish identity. Jews are fleeing Antworp. They're running away from the Netherlands. They're leaving uh France. What's happening there because they're seeing the anti-semitism. So that's animating us. How the Shia and Sunnis are able to set aside their differences for the sake of the Jews really is quite striking. But what you're seem to be saying is all this anti-semitism has a bigger plan in mind. I mean God is running history as we know. So you think there's a bigger plan happening? I mean, Jews have been living in New York for 150 years, 200 years. They've been very settled here right now. From nowhere comes this Islamist leader from Shia Islam. We mentioned the danger of Shia before. Now, the mayor of the I think the largest city of Jews in the world today, bigger than Tel Aviv, even bigger than Jerusalem. >> What is happening from your perspective to American Jews right now? Is this telling us to wake up right now? We have to move on in history. >> Right. So when I meet Jewish people who live in Lakewood and the five towns and if you're there don't be angry at me. What is h what is in their minds um the reason why they have to move is like they realize that their view uh of is very much was like the guy who jumps off the empire sh state building and halfway down and goes so far not bad. They realize the trajectory of this where this is going. They people aren't getting what's about to happen in November and how the legislative branch is going to move in a direction that's unflattering. But nevertheless, Ezekiel chapter 16 verse 6, the children of Israel always live by our blood. I want to say something. We just the um might as well uh if October 7th didn't happen, we'd we'd actually have there would be a problem. And that is Iran was in the process of acquiring a nuclear weapon. If there was no October 7th, we couldn't have taken out Hamas. We couldn't take out Hzbollah. We couldn't have taken out. We couldn't take out Iran's nuclear. Now, there's more work to do as you pointed out in Gaza. There's more work to do in Iran, but it we always survive like the Kishna programs. We always survive by these effects in that we were able to take out Hamas. We would never be able to survive thousands of rockets a day. Our anti-missiles missile system is 95% at best. So therefore at every stage it's the enemies of Israel more than you or me could trigger could animate the minds of Jews not only in the United States but around the world and realizing that the place to live is here in the land of Israel. >> Let's kind of end on a good note now. We've talked a lot of negative things here. There's a lot of fantastic people watching my podcast as well as you watch your podcast as well. A lot of great Christians out there. They're not participating in anti-semitism. They love Israel. They love Jews. How does a non-Jewish world uh participate in the redemption? How do they do good for the world right now? How do they support the Jewish people in this time of tremendous distress? >> So, that's the other strange thing that's happened is the middle has fallen out. You pointed this out just now. There are people who love us and people who hate us, but there's no one indifferent to us. a thought experiment as if you and I stood on the streets of just bear with me on London and Manchester and Paris. Now you're going, "Oh god, no." But if we did and ask people what they thought of the Jews in New York and San Francisco, Miami and Chicago and the only part of this thought experiment is they had to tell the truth, they would the answer would be I hate the Jews or I love the Jews. What we would not hear very much is I haven't formed an opinion yet. And in order to saturate this point, uh, if I asked you, well, I have not, but if I asked you, what do you think of the Chinese, the most successful race on the planet, you probably would say, yeah, I like them or okay, but none of these strong things. What is also very important is right now there are approximately 100 million Christians um who are Christian Zionists. Most by far most of them are in the United States because that's where the movement began. and they're blessing Israel. And that's what Tanakh is calling upon the nation of the world to bless Israel. And they're real they realize very specifically that God is working through the Jews. So I want to make this point and that is there are two kinds of Christian Zionists out there. One are people who are not Jewish who believe that state is a very good thing. It shares the values of the west. It's a democracy. It's an ally. All those things. Therefore, it's we're really happy. to the state of Israel. That's one level. But then this next level, Zionist when Natu said it's God's providence that's behind this and this is the real blessing. So therefore, God is calling upon the nations of the world to bless Israel. meaning to actually say not that Israel is important as our ally United States and with a remarkable relationship with America but rather this is part of God's hand and it is in fact these non-Jews that will be joining the children of Israel in the messianic age and celebrating the festival of Sukkot uh uh Zechariah 14:16 we're very much looking forward to the moment when the non-Jews of the world say you know what we're going to trust in the clouds of heaven rather than the gag rather than the roof And these are the people that we we bless at the end of days and we're very much looking forward to that remarkable day quickly in our time. >> That's really incredible. Rabbi Singer, how do people find out and follow your work online? >> Oh, YouTube and then my name Tovia Singer and uh I sure look forward to you joining and subscribing. >> Wonderful.
