Does the rabbi envision or see as a [music] possibility a future in which a people who believe in Yeshua but love the Jewish people [music] want to be a part of the Jewish people. >> There would not be room for Christianity or Islam or Hindu or Buddhism. That's the whole point of the Messianic age. >> And I just want to say, Rabbi, I've been I've I've been listening [music] to you a lot over the last couple years and you've helped me in my understanding of the of the scriptures tremendously. And I just want to say [music] thank you for for what you're doing. Um I really just um I can't help it but to just say I [music] love you. Thank you for what you're doing. >> I love you too. Could you not run? >> Can you hear me now? >> Yeah. Go ahead. Okay. You're live on the air. Rabbi's right in your ear. Go ahead. >> Okay. Yeah. I just wanted to ask Rabbi real quick. I do believe in Jesus as the Messiah. However, does the rabbi envision or see as a possibility a future in which some a people who believe in Yeshua but love the Jewish people, want to be a part of the Jewish people, want to grasp themselves to the Jewish people and help them and be an aid to them, but believe in Yeshua. Is that really antithetical to the Jewish faith and but they believe in the God of Israel? So let let me keep Ryan on for a second. >> Sure. Go ahead. >> So in the messianic age, there will only be one faith in the world, right? Be only one. And I'm using the word I'll use the word religion, but I want to use it because it's conventional. That's explicit as an example in Zephaniah chapter 3:9 that everyone, all the nations speak in a pure speech bes and of one accord. So there will only be one faith in the world. So therefore there couldn't possibly be any Christians in the world in the messianic age because all the Christians by that time will have said that we believed in God. You love Israel. It's obvious. But now I know the truth. So there would not be room for Christianity or Islam or Hindu or Buddhism. >> Right? [snorts] none of those religions could exist. That's the whole point of the messianic age is that the world will be spiritually delivered and everyone will uh only uh bow and bend their knee to the one true God and swear it only in his name. Isaiah 45. What do you think of that? >> I mean that this doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I really don't have any rebutt that per se. Um, and I mean it's straight from the Tanakh. I mean, that's the holy word of God. So, and I just want to say, Rabbi, I've been I've I've been listening to you a lot over the last couple years, and you've helped me in my understanding of the of the scriptures tremendously, and I just want to say thank you for for what you're doing. Um, I really just >> [snorts] >> u I can't help it but to just say I love you. Thank you for what you're doing. >> I love you, too. Could you not run? My question really is you you've described your that you have changed your views as time has passed. And so my question is what and I'm so grateful for your thoughtful words. I'm so grateful that you would call in. I really am. And I love you too. I really because I I never met you but everything is coming through is something beautiful. So what what impressed you that has guided you thus far to reorient your views spiritually in recent years? the the main thing I that that I've taken away from everything that you have that I've heard you say is it's really helped me understand that Christianity by and large is it's sort of this it's it's a replacement it's it's a replacement for God's promise to the Jewish people and I it's that your view on that has really helped me to understand that the the hangup that I have is is that I just don't see um Jesus as a opposing figure to the Jewish people. I don't I don't see him as an opposing figure of the Torah. Um even though Christianity has propped him up to be something that I don't think he is. I don't think he's he's properly represented by Christianity. And um and that's why I am still in the vein of I still am holding on to my faith in Yeshua. But at the same time, I understand the the promise that God has promised to the children of Israel that will never be relinquished and nobody can replace that. >> So I want to ask the following. >> I want to ask you I apologize interrupting you but please stay with me. I'm very grateful for your words. I want to ask you what persuaded you to change your views that you have. I mean, you thank me and I'm very grateful for that. But obviously, you're not you I didn't persuade you because I, you know, my use of language or I'm charismatic. It must have been something I said that persuaded you to reconsider what you believe before. I mean what is it that I what did you use what was your methodology for forget I mean the views that you have already changed I I I'm very grateful that what I said um was useful to you but you must have used some sort of methodology to check out what I said what persuaded you >> the verses in Ezekiel uh I could be wrong about the chapter 18 where it talks about um God bringing back the nations uh to the Jew to to to Israel and establishing that nation, building up the desolate cities and and that the world will look on that and go look at look at what they've done essentially like and this is exactly what we see happening now. Um the last chapter of Amos, you know, uh that I'm gonna that I'm going to put the people back in the land and nobody's going to be able to uproot them again. And when you see that 13 years, 1300 years worth of desolation that has occurred from the time of Islam setting up that their you know Alaka mosque and that whole thing on the temple mount up until the time that the Jewish people become restored. That's a miracle. The whole thing is a miracle that the that the state of Israel even exists >> and that is a living testimony. So I I hear your words and you're quoting the prophets and it all just falls right in the line that this is the time that we're living in. >> Okay, stay with me now. And William, this show is not stopping. I want to So essentially what you've done is you've created a trifecta of of evidence. It means you've heard me discuss something uh at the restoration of the Jewish people to the land despite our sins. Ezekiel 39 verse 21, 22 and 23, 24, 25 and the war. And then what you did was you then went back to the Bible like as much as you liked me and appreciated me, you went to scripture and looked up these passages, eagle 3839, the war between Israel, and then you actually went further and then you marshal the history that you have access to what's happening right now. the Jews have returned. A Jerusalem is in our hands and that the nation that God is using for his purpose is at war with Persia, with Iran, and that's the war that the whole world is obsessed with and are watching in real time. So, you've created uh you have marshaled the most rigorous evidence from what I said. I said it then you looked it up and then looked around you and it comported with Tanakh and therefore you said okay I'm going to adjust my view. I I I I love you. So what I I say to you this is my dear brother. the historical Jesus. I mean, he didn't write anything and you don't have to say that he was a bad person or anything like that. But what I would urge you to do because we are really there now. We are very much now. It's happening. Everything is happening now. In fact, I am sure we don't know each other that when you wake up in the morning, one of the first things you do is hit your computer or cell phone and just look at the news and what happened while you were sleeping and you go, "Wow, I there it is biblical prophecy." So, what I then would encourage you to do is continue applying that methodology that you have marshaled so far to reorient yourself and go, well, how could this all make sense? What is the perspective of Ezekiel 37? Uh 7, we have the Messiah comes into view in 24 and 25. The Jewish people will keep the Torah, the temple built, the nation gathered in there. What is not there is anyone dying for anybody's sins, right? The prince doesn't die for anybody's sins. Rather, he's a king and shrugs people. So, what I ask you to do is to continue. You are in a beautiful trajectory that comes into view not by my words. I mean I could shine the light but what what you've done is you go let me go to Tanakh and that and fill my mind with these holy oracles and then let me go to the world about me and go it's all happening exactly as the ancient of days the God of Israel said. And then what I say to you and all our viewers is to do the same is to go okay let's use that there's no possible methodology that's more rigorous than using Tanakh and actual history and give it the reason why you're supposed to watch history is that we are told in Tanakh explicitly that that's exactly what the nations will do. They will look verse Ezekiel 39:21 when they this the nations see the defeat of Israel's enemies the glory of God will be revealed to all. I mean it says it in the text and the text is telling us it's speaking about the Jews and it's unflattering. It says you went to exile because you sinned a lot but now your sins are forgotten but no one's dying for our sins. So therefore Jesus does we don't the historical Jesus I don't I'm not going to pretend to know we talked about this on air but what I would encourage you to go forward is you are exactly in the correct trajectory as a servant of God as someone who will only praise the one true God of Israel who will only bend your knee to the only God uh in creator of our soul and the God of history. So I just say to you I I would like to hold your hand through this process and continue just keep going and >> that would be amazing. >> Yeah. >> One thing I want to tell you though that hit me like a ton of bricks when I was I was listening to you I think on Tuesday talking to some to another young lady. Um, and you read uh you went through Isaiah 31 and 32 uh 30 I not Isaiah, Jeremiah 31 and those verses there. And it hit me like a ton of bricks like wow like how can we be living in the new testament or how can there we be in a new in a new covenant when we are no long we're not in a point where you know uh it says that we'll no longer need to teach our neighbor about God because everybody will know him and we're not there no we don't have Torah in our hearts and walking like look at like the world is in shambles right now. It's a miracle that we're even still in civil societies right now. So anyway, I'm I'm not quite there yet, but I'm I'm I'm making adjustments to my faith certainly and I I I I'm appreciate everything that you're doing to bring uh all of these powerful scriptures from Tanakh to life. In those days no one Jeremiah 31 will ever have to teach his friend his brother saying know the Lord for they shall all know me from the least of them to the grace declares the Lord. So say the Lord who created the sun to illuminate the day this moon and the stars the night. If these laws can ever pass before me so will the seed of Jacob pass before me. That means the nation of Israel is here and eternal. Not because of how wonderful we are, because of our own merit, but rather because of a promise. A promise made to Abraham 4,000 years ago, ratified with Isaac, and reconfirmed with Jacob, that you're you will produce an eternal nation. And if the fixed orders of the world ever depart from me, declares the Lord, show the seed of Israel cease from being a nation before me forever. If the very foundations of the earth can be measured, so will I cast off Israel. Well, we're living right now at the very beginning of a new time and the very end of an exile. The night is coming to an end, and the morning is coming. Arise and shine, for your light has come. Prepare yourself. I hope you're ready. Shalom. >> If you enjoyed this program, please like and subscribe. [music] [singing] [music] >> [singing]
