Go ahead. >> Yeah, Shavuot one Sunday and I was walking up to a church and I see a bride and a groom. And this person looks like he's on fire. Like I I just didn't know what was going on with him. So I said said I'm going to go check this out. And I walk up to him. He says, "Do you believe in Jesus? You believe in Yeshua?" And I shook his hand and then his face shines like the sun. His eyes turn like rays of rays of the sun, but blue and everything just turns blue and his face is shining with light. All his facial features are completely perfect. And like I'm lifted up by the Holy Spirit and it's incredibly powerful. More powerful than anything I've felt in my life. Like dynamite. Just it was it was amazing. And >> This was a >> smelled like a alcoholic perfume. >> Was this a dream you had? Seriously, a dream or a vision or what? >> No, this was a trance I went into when I was at church on one Pentecost on Shavuot. >> So, you were in church when this happened and sitting in the sitting in the >> No, not inside. I was outside in the parking lot. >> Oh, while you were awake but a trance. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> What's very striking is that this must have had an an enormous impact on you the way you're describing. But as it turns out, uh people are having trances of um gods or sometimes people they love um in different parts of the world and interestingly it is if someone grew up in India, they are the trances that they're likely to have are different uh geographically than the trances people are likely to have in in in North America cuz in India people are having trances and not only trances are people in India that actually meet Hari Krishna that actually encounter Vishnu, actually encounter the monkey god Hanuman. No trance necessary. And isn't that odd? Isn't it odd that is Islamic countries, uh people there as you can probably guess are having um visions of encountering the companions of the prophet Muhammad. And so it's it's a striking uh that in Brazil and the Philippines people are having trances or actually seeing that means they're not having non-veridical experiences as you described they're actually having veridical experiences and right where you would expect to have them. It's like somehow Mary knows to appear in the Philippines, in Portugal, Spain, São Paulo, in Rio, in Buenos Aires. She, for whatever reason, does not appear to people in Kuwait or in Saudi Arabia. How strange. Well, the reason is it's obvious that people are producing these thoughts and we we believe thoroughly that if we have to choose between the God of Israel or a personal dream trance whatever it is and it's but it's something metaphysical we are always going to choose the God of Israel and choose Moses. This is actually addressed in Tanakh many times. One of the places in Jeremiah 29:8-9 and the problem the context is that there were false prophets then who were saying to the Jews, these were Jewish religious Jews, but they was telling the Jews that we have prophecy that the Jews should go to war with the Babylonian empire. And Jeremiah was tell warning them not to do that and don't listen to these people, they're false prophets. This [snorts] issue of false prophets who are doing miracles is so huge that the word I'm going to say this that the word false appears more frequently in the book of Jeremiah than any other book in Tanakh. Okay? I know people are looking it up right now and I welcome when do it. I don't have it in front of me, but I'm pretty sure if you So, the word in Hebrew for false is sheqer. Okay? Shin shin kuf resh sheqer. So, common word. So, you could see false is really important in one of these books in the Bible. Okay? So, and now, given that context that Jeremiah is dealing with false prophets and false teachings and for false scribes who people who completely mis- misappropriate Jeremiah 8:8-9. It's the most misquoted verse. Muslims misquote it, Christians misquote it. Don't ask. It's a nightmare. But really it's referring to people who are writing down false books. Scribes are writing false books and teaching false things that most importantly go to war with Babylon. Jeremiah says, "Don't go to war with Babylon. If you do, Babylon will destroy you." And Jeremiah was proven correct. Okay? So, there is a case where people come to Jeremiah and say pretty much what you're saying. And that is that we're I'm paraphrasing here, Jeremiah 29:8-9. Um that we're having dreams about this. And Jeremiah says, "Don't listen to your dreams. You are causing yourself to have these dreams. These are internal thoughts and you're dreaming them and it's not from God. And we don't follow dreams. So, I will I will concede to you just straight away that if we have a a trance-like dream, not sure what that means exactly, whatever that means, but it's a trance. It's not like you walked into and it was veridical, meaning you actually saw a guy with the blue eyes, with the whole thing. It was a trance. So, I might as well know that Native American Indians, so they went into these trances and had all kinds of ecstatic visions, and we have a lot of literature on this. We have this in all religions, and all these religions can't all be true. I'm not going to pretend to tell you that there was Satan, the devil, that it was I'm not going to be arrogant. I don't I don't know I don't know. I mean, there's a wide range of guesses of how this can happen, but guess what? 15% of mentally healthy people, healthy people have hallucinations. 15% of healthy people will have a hallucination during their lifetime. And that hallucination will be about a holy person or relative. That's just the way it works. We don't operate that way. We have Deuteronomy chapter 13, which tells us if a dream or dream comes to you, sign wonder, don't listen to dream the sign wonder, I didn't say it. So, the reason we have a Torah is that's our guardrail. Otherwise, what do you need a Torah for? Just pray, wait for a vision, and see what it's told. We don't function that way. We don't operate that way. We go to the scripture, and we say, "What does Tanakh tell us?" And that's what we follow, nothing else. And if someone else tells you that he meant How look, I remember this in Indonesia. I'm not going to go through it cuz I don't want to I want to give time for another call at a call in. But I remember in Indonesia, there was a big, big, big preacher that died in in 20 16. In March of 2016, he was the He was called Peter the Great, and everyone was having He was coming to everybody with visions. Actually, not everybody was a lot of women. So, people shouldn't worry about converting to Christianity cuz some lady in in in in Balak Balan had a vision of the period right. No, I'm not going to do that. That's the end of the end. There is the Torah is the canon is the measuring read for truth and everything else is measured in light of Tanakh. And again, I think people have to answer the question, why is it why is it so geographically dependent? Why is it that in the Islamic world people have visions of the companions of Muhammad, whatever, blah blah blah. And in India people have it in a Hindu context in in the Christian countries in a Christian context, you'll know the answer. It's not because these God that Jesus can't appear to people who are the natives in Canada who've been there for a few thousand years. No, reason it's not part of their world so it would never have chances about it. I said, "Thank you very much for calling in."
