never had somebody hurt you before you have okay what was your response to them at least in your head sometimes you hold a grudge forever i heard a nice line once holding a grudge is like lighting yourself on fire and hoping that the other guy dies of smoke inhalation can you imagine you're destroying yourself because you're the one who's thinking about them all day they're living in your head rent-free kind of a good tenant and uh we have to try as hard as we could now again we're human it's very hard it's not easy to you know when people have heard us to really look at them and be like oh it's all good no that's not easy it's hard but it takes work and we have to strive at least a little bit but take a look at how art sadikum reacted to people who have heard us the editor of a journal had once slandered the satmir of rabial titleman i don't know exactly what the story was but whatever it was this editor had done at one time was obviously big news because people knew about it and years later months later he came to the rev and he said i'm marrying with my daughter my daughter's engaged and i don't have money and you're a rebbe and um i need help i need help to marry off my daughter get a new job no leave the editor job but anyways so the rep went into the room wherever he went and he got a large sum of money and he handed it over to this person this person who slandered him now again you have to remember we i mean we all know now what the news could do what media could do what it could control the way we think who we vote for literally the media could take over newspapers and stuff like that so i'm sure that it was a it was a tremendous slander whatever it was and it was something very painful and yet the rebbe gave him a large sum of money so after he started walking out somebody whispered one of his gabon and he's like grabber do you not know who that is do you do you not know who you just gave all that money to he's like of course i do of course i know he is he said one second he said excuse me ruben done i'll just go with done come back and he gave me even more money oh the rebbe possessed the noble attribute of being mahavir almighty really going beyond the call of duty if you're playing call of duty you should stop because it's an addiction and it's horrible and it's a waste of time and you should start learning more but i'm saying in in our case over here going above the call of duty going beyond you know when somebody hurts you the last thing you're going to do is give him cash money and the last last thing that your last thing is going to do is give him more money after you gave him money originally and yet that's what he did there's a person who needs help in class also he did something to me what does that have to do with what he needs what does that have to do with what he has a daughter who needs to married off let's go i have the funds we're going to do this why should i personally get involved and be oh yeah get out of my house so you did to me now again this is a tremendous level and that's why these stories are told of art sadikim and not the average man although you do have the story of the average jewel so we probably become um we are from a very very tremendous nation don't ever underestimate uh claudius we're very special people really you
