if you take the budgeting seriously then the change of perspective actually comes natural it doesn't always take place though once we begin to work and that is they have to actually feel the pain either of their own decisions or the price of their decision and sometimes even after they're working it doesn't work because they're still supported by their parents so therefore even though they're working they still have no need to change their perspective and that's because parents sometimes create so many safety nets that there's no need for anything and to a large degree this is more a discussion about safety nets than the character traits we learn when we are forced to budget
