Torah shorts shemot

[Music] everyone this week's parsh is part shot which means we're starting a new book in the Torah [Applause] so when the Torah speaks about the Jews in Egypt the Torah says which means they were coming into Egypt question is the Jews were already in Egypt for a good 100 years I mean coming into Egypt that sounds like oh yeah we're just touring hello yes I'd like to book a room for 15 years touring yes no no my name is not Karen why so why does the Torah use this term so the laboratory gives a beautiful answer yes the Jews were in Egypt but because they knew that their real home was eretz Israel and that's where they belonged so the whole time they were in Egypt it was like temporary it was like they were there but they weren't there wait what I know pretty crazy well wait till you guys hear the lesson this lesson is mind-blowing lesson we learned out from this Egypt in Hebrew is mid Shrine mitzrayim comes from the word maid sarim means boundaries so really Egypt is the boundaries that we have in our day-to-day life if we're going through some hardships in our life we have to remember it's a limitation and we can't get stuck in that limitation that is not really us it's not where we belong nah me I'm not overweight I just have big bones overweight we all have limitations we all have problems the real problem becomes when we get stuck in those limitations anyways guys shabbat shalom well I thought that was going to be a cool ending but it didn't really work okay anyways [Music]
