[Music] three thousand eight hundred and sixty six years of Jewish history from abroad the first Jew to this day the Jewish people have gone through a glorious history temples and prophets but also persecution and pogroms that reach their peak in the Holocaust of European Jewry the return of hundreds of thousands of Jews to the Land of Israel has instilled a new spirit of Hope in the Jewish people but the threats and challenges to the Jewish people have not ended the most difficult and brutal wall of the Jewish world is facing us today one of the enemies to the Jewish people has crept up on us slowly over time is attacking every generation across every continent men and women young and old I was seeing a ghost our schools our families in our communities our enemy is at the scene the thing our enemy is apathy what are these words in the prayer look even me why do these laws mean to me why are these customs relevant to my family why Judaism why did Jewish people our lack of caring about our Judaism is our silent enemy it eats away at our families and communities one by one in 1940 there were eighteen million in 1945 we were down to 12 million according to the growth in population today we should have been over 25 million Jews where are the children where are the children where are the children where are the children of the 12 million years if we don't come back to our apathy our Jewish future looks bleak I am ending at the theme cape town in the City of Charlotte North Carolina in Johannesburg South Africa in Melbourne Australia in Haifa interests in Ann Arbor in Jerusalem in Moscow in tel-aviv in Odessa today we are committed to ending the apathy in the world as student leaders follow me from around the world we are committed to being a part of the solution and that's part of the problem we want to make sure that we continue to be the great people that we have always been and to continue to bring the world to a better place Aulani is creating a global movement of people who care of educators and students together that are willing to stand up for what's right to take action produce for Israel for all of us we ask you to join us on this mission we believe that together we can achieve something great together to greatness you imagine what we can accomplish [Music]
