hi I'm John Franklin and we're talking to the liquid scoop come down today you want to see some of our snow plows and how our operations working this is one of our larger presence will be back and you see the size of the blade resistant in the larger areas to try to get them plowed out and while we're looking at that one point seven people in the community feel that we should have snow plows on our garbage trucks just show this frame underneath this underneath this truck that's what would have to be put on our garbage trucks and if we put that on the garbage truck we can't get the drivers trucks in the landfill so it took max I'm totally impossible to do and we pick up garbage even though we have snow we've never missed a garbage pickup and people get it out we get it there's a couple of other smaller trucks around here this is our largest type of truck and then we have some trucks over here this is our smaller dumps we've tried to get into tighter area is max there as soon as it starts to snow we send trucks out and we put down to the salt in the sand now all you see really is a saying but what we do we mix salt with us and and and then we also put a brine and with the with the sand and what this does it gets the chemical reaction working in it and it starts melting the snow we do that till the snow gets about 23 inches then we stop that procedure then we start our filing by having that salt and sand down it like a releasing agent I know some of the people say that that we drive with our plows two inches above the ground we don't we let them write tight if u see this blade right here that's exact type that the plow works out we take the shoes for the shoe that holds the cow up we've taken the shoes off the plow so we get the full bite of the plow blade a little tough on the driver sometimes they hit manhole covers and they'll knock you right out of your seat but it does a good job the snow do you see stuck the road after we find is what's already packed down or what it has frozen tight to the road when it started as snow we got about two foot of snow this this is not normal as a heavier snowfall we've ever had and that cars cars kill us we can't we get through the street after his cars on both sides we put the snow against your car you can dig your car at your throat snowpack in the middle of road that's anyway she had cleaned that you put it now you come cleaned out a spot for your car you don't try to get back in that spot that's what you have further in the road pretty soon you got a one-lane road and we practically fill your driveway up we can't clean driveways so what we do we we plow that we try to get all the gutters cleaned as quick as we can because we know eventually the snow is going to melt and we got to get the water from the so into the storm source this is what we're doing now get a lot of phone calls a lot of mad people they've already dug your driveways out twice now they have to do it again and I really feel bad but with thousands of driveways we have we don't have enough people we could shove them for you what I'd like to see done there's the different communities of different developments have someone in a development that can call talk with us so we get two cars out at least one side of a street and then we cloud outside you could put your cars over on the other side of the street and we'd have the whole area and cleaned your driveways would be full but you'd had to find a place to put that but it would sure help it sure helped everything right now it's just a mystery right I've got a couple developments that do work with us like that but only a couple out of all the development so the guys here got a good bunch of guys that are all working hard we've got 30 trucks out and we've been working the last night we knocked him off at eight o'clock so the guys get a good night's sleep and it right back again at seven o'clock this morning we're working on it and if the public would only understand that we got to have room to get rid of this stuff that's an awful lot of snow just take it a cubic yard you got two foot of snow and landing on a road I got to put it somewhere that's a big palace let's hope this helps the public understand a dozen
