TLS Exclusive LPD Statement Following Murder Suspect's Arrest

hi i'm detective lieutenant william madison from lake police department uh first i'd like to thank all my detectives for all their hard work in working on the homicide and bringing it to successful closure there's still more work to be done but uh we're very very happy with the results that we've received so far we're very very thankful for the cooperation that we received with the olsen county prosecutor's office and the leadership that we received are in working with them and getting this hard job taken care of um for those of you who may not know it was like a thousand piece jigsaw puzzle that we got piece by piece and we had to work the pieces together over here is my right-hand man sergeant william rodriguez he was with me the first night of the homicide and he helped me get the beginning stages in place to be able to get this job done successfully with actually the help of every detective in this office plus some patrol officers that are also assigned to this office we have currently four patrol officers that have been temporarily assigned to us in a non-uniform status or a non-uniform and uniform status and they were so helpful in helping us get through this investigation they were they worked hand in hand with the prosecutor's office also and uh i just don't know how to commend the work that i saw done in the last two weeks these guys are just playing fantastic so i want to make sure the readership knew also thanks to chief lawson to giving me the latitude to get this done he was advised all the way in fact about 12 27 last night i had the opportunity to let him know that um the uh person was under arrest and he was on his way to lakewood so um you can see that we're all here working hard for you and we're gonna continue to do so i just like to thank the street crimes unit led by detective sergeant john stilwell and his two right-hand man detective patterson and detective uh leroy marshall and they did a fantastic job in solving this case along with the osha county prosecutor's office detectives that were assigned to the case they did an excellent job
