This Physics Law Makes You Question

We all learned in science class that mass and energy are conserved, but have we ever stopped to think about what that actually implies? Let's look at the law of conservation of mass. It tells us that in a closed system, like in the universe, matter cannot be created or destroyed. It can only transform. When we [music] eat, our food doesn't disappear. It becomes body mass, waste, or carbon dioxide. But if we weighed every single output, it would [music] perfectly equal what we ate. Science estimates that our universe contains 10 to the power of 54 kg of mass. This means it's a one followed by 54 zeros. There's the law of conservation of energy. Total energy remains constant. [music] Cannot be created or destroyed. It can only transform. Think about our car. The chemical energy in the gasoline transforms into mechanical motion, heat, and sound. It doesn't disappear. And we know there is tremendous amount of energy in the universe. The sun energy and the rotation of the planets. Now, here's a huge question that we never [music] heard in school. If these laws prove that mass and energy can never be created or destroyed, then who put them there in the first [music] place?
