This Is My World

Okay, I want to say a Hadith. That's on my mind. Sometimes when there's something on our minds, I forgot how to just say it. And I need to hear it. So, would you mind if I say it cuz I That's really the truth. I need to hear it. I want to say like this. We've spoken about over the years about the incredible incredible If you think about it, it's incredible. My mother has a towel. That says Adam Lemaire. I can pick up a chair, maybe you can pick up a table, he can pick up a car. Moving a planet is like, okay, that's already fantasy. There's no such a thing. There's no such a thing as someone to pick up a car, but it's a measurable thing. If I would tell you that somebody in Australia, crazy as it is, who has this unique thing who can pick up a car, you wouldn't tell me it's impossible. But if I can tell you I know a guy that can move a planet, you would tell me it's impossible. Okay, anyway, enough of that Superman. But the point I'm trying to give you an example of ain mispar means it's not measurable. It be- become it's unmeasurable. It's not measurable. There's no It doesn't It doesn't rate on the test. The test is obsolete. There's no marking for that test. The wisdom of Hakadosh Baruch Hu is not that like you're smart, you're smarter, I'm not with all due respect, you're even smarter. Because the truth is, Eli, that we live in many many many worlds at the same time. Hakadosh Baruch Hu needed to create a world where the entire world was created for you. Okay? Eli was created for you. For some reason it was necessary for you to have Ellie in your life. Okay? I was created for you. Hashem thought it would be interesting and important for your life to have a little bit of a off-the-beaten-path rabbi who says weird things and talks about Superman in the middle of the most serious thing. That was For some reason I don't know why, but for some reason Hashem thought that was important for you. Your parents, Akiva's brother, chose to trust you. Your future wife is walking around somewhere. Hashem created her. She's here just for you. Okay? Gabe has no idea what we're talking about, but he was created for you. Okay? You know? And me, in order to be me, I needed to have a wife and kids and grandchildren, right? So, all of that was created for you. I don't know if it applies to but the the klal Yisrael. That's l'svunas ein mispar. It's in it's unmeasurable. Hashem's wisdom is unmeasurable. But anyway, Chazal tell us that a person is obligated to say the world was created for me. So what? I think that people mistakenly think that the world was created for me means that I should have confidence. I should feel good about myself. Don't feel like you're just a small nothing in the briah. The world was created for you. And I don't deny that that's a tremendous message of the statement bishvili nivra olam. You can't think you're a nobody if the entire world was created for you. You cannot think that. Right? You cannot be a nobody who the entire world was created for. The can't So anybody who's walking around feeling like, "Ugh, you know, I'm nobody even notices me." Nobody has to notice you. This is all about you. So it's tremendous boost to self-esteem. But I want to contend that that has not That's not the point of what Chazal are trying to say. Okay? Chazal are saying bishvili nivra olam Chazal are saying that Let's translate the words that the world Listen very carefully to this. The world was created for me. Not for the person I'm imitating. Not for the person I want to be. Not for the person I wish I was. And not for the person I think I am. Okay? The world was created for me, for the real real me. I have the entire world is created for me. Which means that we have to be able to to to to lean in to having a certain feeling of authenticity of connectedness to the world that the it's not so often we feel like we have to act a certain way. We have to conform with a with what's expected of us to be. Of who we are expected to be. But the whole world was created for you. I was thinking about this now. Obviously, I walked in here coming out of my mouth. I happen to be on the phone a few minutes ago and I was walking down the street and I I I feel bad because I was on the phone, but in the back of my mind this program was playing. This app, you know, in the back of your phone this app is playing. So, I was talking on the phone with as much attention as I could give, but this Mishpacha Never Alone was the app playing in the background because I've been going through this in my mind a little bit. And there was a guy walking his dog. Okay? And it didn't look like a super friendly dog. Okay? And I'm like a good, you know, Yeshiva guy from Brooklyn. I'm not comfortable with dogs. Okay? But as I was walking I was telling myself the dog was created for me. The owner was created for me. This is my world. I don't have any fear. I just walked. I said hello. I mean, it is my world, you know? I have to be a I'm an ambassador. It's a different feeling. It's a different feeling and it's a different When I say feeling, I don't mean as opposed to reality. It's a Do we believe that everything Hazal said was true? Yeah, can we agree about that? Every word Hazal said is true? Yes. Okay. He told me it was a trick question. Yes, everything I say to you. I Hazal that I am obligated, obligated. Not it's a good idea. I am Now I understand why I'm obligated because I need to learn who me is. And I have to live in the world. My necessities were created for me. I have to stop being afraid of people. I have to stop being concerned about the future. I have to stop tying myself into a pretzel of being who I I think other people want me to be. I have to stop worrying if people don't like me. I have to stop being concerned if someone criticizes me. Okay, if I'm a smart guy, I'll listen to criticism and see if I can learn from it. I said to someone on Shabbos, "Just because this guy did the wrong thing by criticizing me, doesn't mean I'm not allowed to take advantage of that criticism and grow from it." Like it's too bad. Once you said it, I have a right to grow from it. Right? But I have to start living confidently in my world. Not confident like self-esteem, you know, like you know, 2026, you know, self self-help 101. I'm talking about a much deeper sense. This should be the world the world was created for the person that I am. This is my world. And I'm going to live in that world with the fullness of who I am. And I'm not going to let the world crush me. I'm not going to let the world hold me back. I'm going to interact with people without being so afraid of their reactions. They don't have to like it. And you know what's going to end up happening when I do that? They're going to like it. Because there's nothing that people react to in a better, more warm way than to an authentic person. And when you reach out to someone with authenticity and they react in an obnoxious way, I have a secret to tell you. It's because they're afraid of your authenticity. Cuz it's making them think about their authenticity. And people are sometimes afraid of themselves. Chai of Adam Harishon. We're Adam Harishon. Adam Harishon was created There was no like what are they going to say in the papers? There was no Well, it's a deeper thing also like how many of us do this? And maybe there's a time and place for it, but how many of us try to look for someone who's who we could think maybe our life could be like his. Maybe someone a little older than you. Maybe someone in your family. Maybe someone in your shul. You're like, "Oh, that's future me." No, erase that. Chai of Adam Harishon. You think Adam did that? You think Adam was created It was like elephants. That's future me. Lion. That's future me. No, he didn't do that, right? Cuz there was only one Adam. Adam Yechidi Nivra. Adam was created alone. That's another thing we have to be very very very careful. You have to be very careful that when you're inspired by someone, you're not imitating them. Sometimes I have this with certain people in my life. Rabbi Chaim Ozer is among them. Sometimes I'm just saying it to you as a we're both talmidim of his. Sometimes somebody will express something or say something that if it triggers me to imitate them, I have violated my own authenticity. But sometimes it wakes up something inside of me. And it makes me realize, "Hey, that's me also." That's inspiration. When I hear about someone that learns by this mother and tears come to my eyes, I have to be careful that I'm not learning with more enjoyment or more intensity because I want to be him. I'm learning with more on test intensity cuz he triggered my recognition that that's my bishvili. That's me. That's who I am. This is freedom, Rabbi said. This is This is real freedom. Stop being What are you worried about? You worried about the opinion of people who were created for you? This is all about you. The king is in a throne room and he's quiet. His homies say, "Your majesty, you want to say something?" He's like, "I'm afraid people aren't going to like what I'm going to say." YOU'RE THE KING. You're the king. Bishvili never oilum. Doesn't mean everyone has to listen to you. It doesn't mean things always go our way. It doesn't mean things aren't difficult. It doesn't mean we don't have missayenes. It means all of those things are part of what was created for you. And fear, we live with so much fear. Bishvili never oilum removes our fear of the world. This world is not out to get me. This world was created for me. It was for me. And yes, I might struggle to know how to deal with the challenges of this world. It might be a struggle for me. But bishvili never oilum means this world was for me. Not for the fake me. Not for the imitating me. But for me, bishvili me. Which causes us to ask the obvious next question. Who is me? That's where we have to be paying attention to discover ourselves, to to figure ourselves out, understand who we are. As we journey through this world that was created for us for some reason this group over here I call the spark in your world sent you this message today. It doesn't have anything to do with me cuz the world was created for you. I sent you this message today. I sent me this message today sometime in the middle of the day. I can't really explain it. I was having a hard morning, I'm not going to lie. Let's be leading our lives. Let's go take on the day. Let's live in our worlds from our thrones. Let's live in our worlds. Let's take on our life.
