the darkness of Hanukkah is here to teach us something there are forces in the world that want you to be weak instead of the blessing of Joshua strength and courage as you enter into the Promised Land strength and courage they want to raise a generation of weak cowards they want to raise a generation of feminine men constantly smothering any signs of any masculine power or honor anything manly as categorized now as toxic toxic masculinity it's like feminine weak boyish men is what they want because those are easy to control in restricted areas those are really easy to tell what to do and they'll follow orders and they'll give up their freedoms like they did in Egypt their forces in the world that want you to be weak and unhealthy they want you to be addicted to sugar and junk food and chemicals and that way they can sell you more food that's shaming I mean what what is that what is that if you want to encourage people to be healthy and call out obesity you're now fat shaming it's like they want to normalize being fat weak and unhealthy obesity is the second only to cigarettes the leading preventable death in the United States of America stems from obesity they're people they're forces that are at play that want you to be fat weak and sick so they can sell you more medications if your body is weak then your mind will be weak and you'll start feeling depressed and anxious and guess what they have medication for that too and these forces want you to be distracted to make you forget the Torah not that you'll forget it that you like I don't remember it anymore you'll be so distracted that you'll forget because you're so distracted they want you to be addicted to video games to social media to sports events to the Netflix to the newest thing that's in the media all of that is to distract your mind from what really matters disconnect you from yourself disconnect you from the source that is the darkness that surrounds the flame of Hanukkah and Hanukkah is here to teach us that we have to fight back like Maccabees against that we have to be Warriors like David's men a real Salvation Army you have to work on getting stronger in your body and as your body gets stronger your mind will get stronger you have to choose to eat healthy you have to fight this anti-life culture and choose what you focus your attention on and not get distracted by the Temptations and the Technologies of the media the spiritual essence of Hanukkah is that we have the ability to turn the darkness into light it's the only holiday that the ikar of the Mitzvah the essence of the Mitzvah is to do it at night time it's the holiday that we internalize now it's like the darkness is the Exile the Bible is sealed in Hanukkah Hanukkah holiday it's not mentioned in the Hebrew Bible the Christian Bible honors Hanukkah as a holy day it's just another proof that Christianity when learned properly is a religion that should honor Judaism but the Bible by the time Hanukkah comes around is sealed the book of McAfee didn't make it into the Canon of the Hebrew Bible prophecy as we know it is gone the Greeks and the Western world begin their reign of darkness and materialism and here we are in the darkness now and Tanaka is our holiday it was the last gift given to us after the Tanakh was sealed it's like one more one more light teaching us that we can withstand the darkness and Sonica is not only about that it's really taking the darkness and emerging bringing the light turning the pain and the suffering into purpose and meaning and healing and victory to overcome the obstacles to persevere to never give up to become stronger through the adversity and as they're trying to push us in one direction we push back and in that friction we become who we were destined to be it's arguably the purpose of creation to to choose faith when you could easily choose Hellenism Hedonism nihilism that's what faith is it's to choose the light when darkness is all around to choose faith when the evidence is unclear it's like admits the dark and the chaos of the world to choose to be a reflection of God's light to be honorable to be Noble to be holy to be good it's like by bringing our unique light into the darkness into the Hester into the world before mashiach when God's presence is still hidden that is the ultimate good that is the light that will continue to shine in the windows of Jerusalem it's the purest oil it's to be God's light in the world and there is nothing greater that we could do and so may all of us be blessed with the light of Hanukkah and take that light amidst the darkness into the Year and no it just takes a small group of dedicated people I've changed the entire world and so from this place and in this time may all of you be blessed from Zion
