There are four types of Jew… four paths, four hearts, four ways of meeting Hashem in this world.

You know, there're four types of Jews. There are Jews who have learning but no mitzvahs. There are those who have [music] mitzvahs and no learning. There are those who have both, tsaddiqim. There are those who have nothing. The etrog represents the Jews who have learning and mitzvahs. The hadassim and the lulav represent those who [music] have learning and no mitzvahs, mitzvahs and no learning. And the willow, the aravah, has no smell, has no taste. Represents the Jews who [music] have nothing. And on Sukkot we all come together until Hoshana Rabbah at the very end. And then we put away everything and we say, "Kuris Baruch, we're all willows. We're all so poshut. We're all so simple. And judge us because we're part of Klal Yisrael. Judge us that we're part of the Jewish people. I'm putting aside all the differences between us and all of our shortcomings." And I take the din and I bang it on the ground to bring the din down. No more judgment. And hopefully go in with a good
